What do you like best about EcomDio?

What I value most about EcomDio is how it lets our small food‑manufacturing company Fresh Harvest Food Co launch a fully branded mobile shopping app, all without bringing on pricey outside mobile dev firms. I’m the E‑Commerce Store Manager, and before we found this tool, I reached out to a local development vendor to get a custom app quote back in November. Their proposal came in way over our annual marketing budget, and we had to scrap that plan entirely. We were stuck relying only on SmartStore’s mobile‑responsive web view, which constantly frustrated our phone‑shopping customers. Our repeat buyers mostly order our homemade jams, grain snacks and frozen ready‑to‑eat meals from their phones. On the old mobile web, shoppers would struggle with slow‑loading product images, and checkout steps would glitch mid‑process. What do you dislike about EcomDio?

One of my biggest pain points working with EcomDio is the total absence of native connectivity to SmartStore. Every single price tweak, new product addition, or warehouse stock update has to go through manual CSV export and re‑upload, and this manual workflow opens the door to avoidable human mistakes. Back during our fall harvest campaign, my junior assistant was rushing to prep our catalog file. While editing the exported CSV from SmartStore, they accidentally copied over whole rows, creating duplicate entries for our popular pumpkin‑seed granola. Once imported into EcomDio, our mobile app displayed two identical granola product pages. Several customers added both entries into their carts and placed duplicate orders. We spent nearly half our workday cancelling redundant purchases, issuing partial refunds, and scrubbing the duplicated entries out of our app catalog. Beyond that risky CSV workflow, setting up the platform also threw unexpected hurdles our way. When we first imported our full food catalog, many of our nutrition‑related metadata columns would not map correctly inside EcomDio. Our gift‑bundle product groupings broke completely after upload, so customers could not properly add our holiday food bundles to their carts. There are zero pre‑built layouts made for food producers, so every single section for preserves, frozen meals and gift sets had to be built from scratch. My small team had to fumble through app‑specific settings like push notification permissions and checkout rules with no guided setup for our industry. I really hope the team adds native sync support for platforms such as SmartStore, plus built‑in duplicate detection that flags problematic entries before they go live to shoppers. What problems is EcomDio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using EcomDio, our biggest headache was our terrible mobile shopping experience coming from SmartStore’s responsive website, and we could not afford custom app development to fix it. Back in November, we ran our big holiday gift‑set promotion. Mobile visitors made up over sixty percent of our traffic, yet site performance on phones was inconsistent. Product photos for our jam gift sets would render incorrectly, and many users would exit halfway through checkout. We lost a noticeable amount of potential revenue, and our customer support team was swamped with complaints from people who could not complete their purchases. We contacted a local development agency to build us a custom mobile app, but their pricing was far outside what our 32‑person food business could reasonably spend.
