What do you like best about Eclipse?

You can code PHP, C++, Perl, or Java for Windows or Linux. There are a plethora of debugging tools that can be added to suit your needs. Plus the price is right. There is a huge community of contributors to making the product better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

Some of the things that make a product preferred can also be a dislike. The huge community of contributors also means that patches or updates can take some time or could be buggy when first released and need to be patched. Documentation on adding tools like a debugger can be an adventure and often times not well written. (face it we are programmers, not novelists) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?

Really what can't be written with code, I mean if you find something I'm sure someone can find a way to code it. The biggest benefit for us is the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
