And it's nice that you can order your PCB directly. **What do you dislike about EasyEDA?** I have no idea why they call it "easy"! It's horribly complicated! I just spent hours just to find the type of potentiometer I have in my drawer, and I could not succeed! I think you have to know the codes for all kinds of component packagings, but those are very hard to find except for transistors. There seems to be no simple way to exclude SMD components, for example. The filters to search in the component database are terribly slow! **What problems is EasyEDA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am trying to use it to teach electronics. ### 3. The part-list library is pretty large. We can design with fabrication in mind as it links with the Chinese LCSC store for a bridged JLCPCB fabrication. Literally automates the whole BOM and Pick and place file generation process. That's a definite plus. It's also easy to use, and there's a forum for help. There's also an offline client for edge working without connecting to the internet. **What do you dislike about EasyEDA?** I just hate the interface. It's cluttery, looks like them old OrCAD EDAs like PSPICe and all. The PCB designer is weird, there's no routing assisting, layer control is bad, and layer visibility is not at all there to partially see what's on the other layers. It's a bad experience overall. But, hey, it's free. It is worth the struggle if the designs are simple and you gonna use JLCPCB to get them done. You can literally order assembled pieces from inside the software. It's a fair trade-off. **What problems is EasyEDA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Electronics designs of all kinds. PCBs, Schematics, circuits for simulations, part listing, inventory for chips and components. It's pretty good. 3D models can be generated from the designed PCBs which are great for showing clients and contacts. They aren't as great as Altium, but it gets the job done. ### 4. It also has an inbuilt store where the prices of the components are shown which are being used in our circuit and then order the parts. The hardware components are open source, most open-source schematics are available in the software. Easy EDA has almost all the traditional tools which help make complex electronics circuits easier. The best thing which I like about Easy EDA is that it is very very simple to use. Almost everything from libraries to projects, to Design tools, fabrication, ordering parts, and making tools can be accessed with a simple click on the menu present in its interface. **What do you dislike about EasyEDA?** Easy EDA is online-based, which may be changed. The software is not ideal for high-speed designs. more components can be added to the inbuilt library. It is a relatively new software compared to its competitors. Many new tools can be integrated with it which may be helpful for professional PCB designers. **Recommendations to others considering EasyEDA:** Go ahead and use Easy EDA. It is one of the best EDA tools available in the market. It does your job with ease and you will get almost everything in a single place. **What problems is EasyEDA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy EDA is used to do any circuit simulation and design almost any PCB. Yes, it is very beneficial for me it saves much time like importing and exporting designs from one PC to another. Order products directly from the software, we don't have to look for other websites for parts. It allows me to collaborate with others and do my projects, interact with other developers. Easy EDA organizes our files in a very good manner and makes them easily available to others easily. For PCB board ordering we can easily just download Gerber files and place an order. I found this tool very intuitive and easy. All you need to know is basic electronics, and the rest is taken care of by EasyEDA. It was my first time into this industry, thus I frustrated finding the optimum platform. The thing is, once I used easyEDA, as the name implies... it is really really easy but highly powerful. I was able to desing complex circuits with tones of electronic components and label them in a Hardware Schematic Diagram in the most easy but beneficial way. Then afterwards, I were able to desing over 5 projects for different purposes in just a few hand countable hours. ### 15. It is a software that is well used for industries and beginners who are learning to design virtual electrical circuit connections. Unlike other software's such as Solidworks PCB, easy eda provides a basic interface for beginners for easy choice of tools. The platform also supports cloud storage of files, and hence does not occupy much storage in the device.
