What do you like best about DrawPad?

DrawPad’s low-resource vector editor is a huge daily win for our product design team. Unlike bloated CAD programs that take ages to boot up, I can pull it up mid-client call to sketch rough product silhouettes or adjusted packaging layouts instantly. The layer panel lets us isolate separate design iterations for each manufacturing client without duplicating whole project folders, which keeps our asset library tidy for GDPR documentation. Exporting to SVG, PDF or PNG works reliably with zero third-party converters, so we can send polished previews straight to our factory partners across Germany and speed up feedback rounds. Its unified workspace also eliminates scattered local draft files that plagued our old sketching workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DrawPad?

There’s no native CAD import/export functionality, so any detailed industrial concept art has to be manually redrawn once we move to engineering software, wasting hours of design time. The platform does not offer a German language interface, creating unnecessary confusion for our newer junior designers. Its built-in version tracking is extremely limited; we can’t generate full timestamped edit logs needed for GDPR audits of client visual assets. The file organization features are also far too simplistic to navigate our growing archive of multi-year manufacturing client projects efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
