The best thing about DraftSight is how closely it mirrors AutoCAD's interface, shortcuts, and command structure. Since the commands and workflow are almost identical, there was zero learning curve for our team—we could transition and start working immediately without needing retraining. It handles native DWG files effortlessly and provides all the essential 2D drafting features we need at a much better value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes a few features and workflows differ slightly from AutoCAD, so it took me a little time to get fully used to them. Additionally, certain deep customization options are not completely identical to AutoCAD, which can occasionally require minor adjustments in how I set up my workspace.
