What do you like best about Doofer?

What I love most about Doofer is that it’s built specifically for software time & cost estimation and proposal management, not just generic project management. It helped our team replace messy spreadsheets and disconnected docs with a much more structured and transparent workflow.

From a Tech Lead perspective, the ability to break projects into modules, milestones, and estimation items while tracking profitability and delivery impact is extremely valuable. The AI assistance also helps speed up backlog preparation and early project discovery without removing the human technical review process.

As a Team Lead, I also really like how easy it is to generate professional project estimates and share client-ready proposals through simple links. It makes internal collaboration and communication with stakeholders much smoother and more professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Doofer?

Some integrations are still missing.

In our case, we were looking for a direct integration with GitHub Projects.

However, during the demo, the Doofer team showed us their active backlog and roadmap, and we saw that this integration is already planned for the near future. Right now, CSV export covers our workflow well enough, so it hasn’t been a blocker for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Doofer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Doofer, we always had a gap in the phase before actual project development starts. Most tools are focused on task management and delivery after the project is already approved, but Doofer covers the pre-sale and planning side much better.

For us, the biggest value is fast time & cost estimation, structuring project scope, and quickly sharing proposals with clients without going back and forward between spreadsheets and docs. It helped us make the estimation process way more transparent and faster internally, and also improved communication with stakeholders during early project discussions.
