"Diskcryptor to the rescue"

What do you like best about DiskCryptor?

We are dealing with an open-source and free application. It is downloaded from the official page and installed very easily and in a short time. Its interface is very intuitive and you will soon be ready to take advantage of all its features. The purpose of this tool is to help you securely store the most sensitive company data, thanks to the complex encryption algorithms it allows you to apply to your disk volumes (Twofish, Serpent, and AES). In this way, your information and data will only be accessible to those with whom you share the key. You can encrypt information from hard drives, partitions within them, external storage devices like pen drives, or create already encrypted CDs and DVDs. What do you dislike about DiskCryptor?

It is incomprehensible that there is no version of the Disk Cryptor program for Ubuntu (Linux). You must also keep in mind that working with encrypted information is much more secure, but it is also slower, because before you can read or edit it, you have to decrypt it, and this takes time. It is also not allowed to encrypt only specific folders or files; they must always be entire volumes. The security of the encryption was one of its strong points and at the same time one of the weakest, because if it falls into the wrong hands, they will be able to access our data. If you still think that the security of your data is not of vital importance and that only conspiracy theorists need to encrypt their data, you should know that you are mistaken. I advise you to download the program, which is free and very easy to install, and start giving your critical data partitions the importance and attention they deserve. What problems is DiskCryptor solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has been very beneficial for us to offer from our support unit the possibility to encrypt the disks of our colleagues in development, accounting, management, etc. With great needs to protect those most sensitive data and information within the corporation.
