I like the protocol flexibility and automated scheduling of Diplomat Managed File Transfer. The protocol flexibility is valuable because it supports every type of protocol our partners require, whether that's SFTP, AST, or older ones, without us having to maintain separate systems. This makes the confusing transfer protocols easy to manage. The automated scheduling is also fantastic; it handles our nightly reservation and inventory file transfers at a set time, ensuring our partners have current data every morning without manual intervention. The support team was also helpful during the setup, as we haven't had a missed transfer since going live, and when partners ask about data security, we now have a straightforward answer and can accommodate any transfer protocol they prefer. One aspect that doesn't work well for me is the interface, which feels outdated. It does the job, but navigating the screen feels like using software from 2000, and new team members take longer to get comfortable with it than I would like. Another issue is the partner onboarding time. Setting up new travel partners with their specific format and protocol requirements takes longer than expected, sometimes involving a support call to get the configuration exactly right. Additionally, getting our copartners migrated over took about six weeks due to each one having slightly different requirements, making the setup quite long due to these technicalities.
