As Customer & Employee Experience Insights Manager for our Dallas professional services firm, Digital Pigeon’s customizable notification toggles and profile management dashboard save me hours each week securely distributing survey dashboards, raw feedback exports, and NPS presentation decks to department stakeholders. I rely heavily on the notification panel visible in the screenshot, where I can toggle email and mobile alerts for file uploads, recipient access, cross-device link usage, comments, and file expiration events, alongside core profile settings for user locale, timezone, 2FA, and default email templates.
Our team runs continuous NPS, CSAT and eNPS pulse surveys using Netigate, generating large CSV exports of respondent feedback, AI text analytics reports, and stakeholder briefing slides. These files contain customer and employee PII, so we cannot share them through generic consumer cloud tools. I create dedicated file shares for each survey cycle, like our quarterly employee eNPS pulse or client post-project CSAT collection. The notification system lets me know the moment a stakeholder accesses the shared report or downloads feedback datasets. When a department lead opens our Q3 CX dashboard from a secondary laptop, I get an immediate alert, which helps me track who is reviewing our insights and validate that only authorized team members are accessing sensitive respondent data. The built-in 2FA and password controls on the profile page add an extra identity layer, and I can quickly adjust default email templates so every share notification follows our firm’s standard communication language for CX reports.
I also leverage the admin menu’s SSO, Security and Usage tabs to audit file activity and manage team member profiles. When onboarding new department leads to view survey results, I configure their notification preferences so they receive alerts only for their relevant business unit’s files, rather than every single file shared across the whole organization. The locale and timezone settings are helpful for our remote team spread across multiple US time zones; file access timestamps align correctly so audit records match our CCPA evidence requirements for PII handling.
One unexpected benefit I discovered after rolling out Digital Pigeon is how the detailed access notifications simplify CCPA audit preparation. When auditors request proof of who accessed survey respondent files, I can pull activity logs paired with the notification history. I can confirm exactly when a stakeholder viewed or downloaded PII-containing feedback exports, without manually chasing down separate access logs from our BI or Netigate platform. Before Digital Pigeon, I had to manually email large survey reports and track downloads with separate tracking tools; that process was messy and lacked reliable audit trails. The quick link alerts also flag suspicious cross-device access attempts early, giving me a chance to revoke file links before unauthorized data exposure occurs.
Suggestions for improvement: Native integration with Netigate would allow automatic export of survey datasets directly into Digital Pigeon shared folders, removing manual file upload steps. Granular role-based permission sets would let me grant view-only access to stakeholders without allowing them to modify or forward shared files. Improved API webhooks would push file access events to our BI tool and Salesforce, linking file access activity back to our CX customer records. Adding customizable data retention policies would auto-expire old survey PII files to align with CCPA data minimization rules.
Digital Pigeon will not replace Netigate for building surveys or our BI platform for deep text analytics of open-ended feedback. Even so, it has become our primary secure delivery channel for CX and EX survey outputs. The configurable email and mobile alert system keeps me aware of all file access events, simplifies audit evidence collection, and protects sensitive respondent PII when sharing NPS and eNPS insights across departments. This secure sharing workflow keeps our feedback program compliant and ensures stakeholders get timely access to customer and employee experience insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As Customer & Employee Experience Insights Manager for our Dallas professional services firm, Digital Pigeon’s notification alerts and profile governance work well for secure file distribution, but it falls short on deep audit log filtering and native connectors with Netigate, Salesforce and our BI stack. These gaps force manual cross-platform work and create extra overhead when preparing CCPA evidence for survey respondent PII, raising operational risk for our CX and EX feedback program.
The biggest pain point is there is no direct integration with Netigate, our primary survey platform. Every time we finish an NPS, CSAT or eNPS pulse survey, I must manually export CSV response files and AI analytics reports from Netigate, then upload each file bundle into Digital Pigeon for stakeholder sharing. Last quarter, we ran our annual company-wide eNPS survey with over 1,200 employee responses containing PII. The manual upload process took me nearly three hours to organize, tag and create secure share links for each department lead. There is no automatic sync, so when Netigate refreshes survey results mid-cycle, I have to manually download revised files and re-upload updated versions into Digital Pigeon. This creates versioning risk; on one occasion, a department lead accessed an older report while the updated dataset sat waiting for manual upload, skewing their CX action planning. We also cannot push Digital Pigeon file access events into Salesforce or Jira, so we cannot tie report downloads back to customer feedback tickets.
The second major limitation is rigid audit log exports. While Digital Pigeon generates access activity notifications shown on the profile notification panel, the raw logs do not support filtering by file, user or date range. When auditors request CCPA evidence showing who accessed survey respondent PII files during our audit window, I cannot quickly isolate only the CX report events. Instead, I have to export a full, unfiltered log dump and manually sift through thousands of entries to extract relevant access records, which added 10 hours of manual work during our last compliance review. The notification alerts are useful for real-time awareness, but these alerts are not structured to feed into our BI tool, so we cannot build automated dashboards tracking PII file access trends over time.
Role-based permissions also lack enough granularity for our CX team workflow. I can assign admin or basic user access, but I cannot create a custom stakeholder role that only allows view/download without permission to forward or reshare links. When I invite department leaders to review NPS reports, they retain the ability to create new shares and forward links to third parties, which increases the risk of unauthorized PII distribution. I have to manually follow up with every stakeholder to remind them of our CCPA data handling rules, adding repetitive administrative work.
Suggestions for improvement: Build native Netigate integration so completed survey exports auto-populate into designated Digital Pigeon folders. Add filtered, searchable audit log exports with webhook support to stream access events to BI and Salesforce. Introduce custom RBAC roles that lock recipients from resharing links. Add configurable file retention rules to auto-delete old survey PII files after our CCPA data retention window expires.
Digital Pigeon is reliable for secure one-off sharing of CX assets and the customizable notification system gives real-time visibility into file access. Still, without native survey platform integrations and refined filtered audit logs, it remains a disconnected silo. For teams managing customer and employee survey PII under CCPA, the manual uploads and clunky audit preparation add significant administrative burden and residual privacy risk.
