"Dfns Delivers Ready-to-Use Wallet Infrastructure with Strong Policies, MPC, and Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

What I like most about Dfns is that so much of the core wallet infrastructure is ready to use out of the box. We’re building our wallet-as-a-service platform on Dfns, and its MPC key management, policy engine, and APIs let us stay focused on our product rather than spending time building custody technology from scratch.

The policy engine has been particularly valuable. When we tested whitelist policies, the ability to allow or block transfers worked as expected, and the evaluate API helped us verify how a policy would impact real transfer requests before going live. Delegated signing is another major strength: a single platform can support both non-custodial B2C wallets and custodial B2B wallets.

We also appreciate the deployment flexibility. On-premise deployment and configurable key storage matter for meeting financial regulators’ requirements in Korea. The documentation is solid, and the Dfns team provides detailed, helpful answers to our technical and compliance questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

The main limitation we've run into is chain coverage for indexing. Some chains, especially Tier 2 networks, aren't supported for indexing, so we had to plan around that for certain projects.

On-premise deployment also takes more work than the cloud version. The indexer has high hardware requirements, which made us question whether running it in our own data center is practical. It also wasn't clear at first which components come with on-prem, for example whether we should use Dfns's RPC endpoints or run our own blockchain nodes. We had to go back and forth with the Dfns team to get answers.

For regulated financial clients, we also had to build a lot of the compliance documentation ourselves. More ready-made material for local regulatory requirements and on-prem setups would speed this up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
