## DeskTime Reviews
 ### 1. Desktime

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** César M. | Tech Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

I like the ease of use and that you can add integrations, such as Google Calendar, to synchronize your meetings with the time tracker at work. It also has online support to solve any kind of problem. In terms of performance, it works very well and, regarding the price, it offers various types of subscriptions depending on the budget you have available.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

I feel it can improve; it's a good product but it can be even better.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me a lot with monitoring equipment and controlling the work time of employees who are working remotely, as well as with generating reports on arrivals and departures within working hours.

 ### 2. Useful Boards and Accurate Tracking, Although Connection Could Be Improved

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy B. | Especialista de Métricas y Procesos, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

The dashboards and tracking of the tool

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

Sometimes, it presents disconnection issues, which can affect the accuracy of the measurements.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to make transparent the productivity of remote staff within the hybrid scheme that the company has implemented as a pilot.

**Official Response from Support Team:**

> Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that DeskTime has helped your company with managing the productivity of your remote staff. If you notice any connectivity issues, please reach out to our Customer Support (support@desktime.com), and our team will be happy to help!

 ### 3. Quick Productivity Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus T. | Gerente de TI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

I can create different groups and schedules for each of the groups, making it more precise to measure productivity as a group, and then I can focus on a specific employee. None of the employees where it was installed have noticed any difference in the performance of the equipment. It works to provide more precise feedback with data, helping to detect problems with employees in terms of understanding or prioritization. It operates transparently, meaning the user doesn't have to do anything. But once the user understands, it is a great help to know if they are being productive.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

At the moment, everything seems fine; in more than a year of use, there have been no problems. I would like it to have a lock so that the user cannot deactivate it; it has happened a couple of times.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For now, just that the user cannot deactivate it.

**Official Response from Support Team:**

> Thank you for your review, Jesus! We really appreciate your honest feedback.

There is actually an option that you can use for your employees. If you go to the Settings -> Account -> Employee permissions, there is a button that enables or disables the option for users to log out/quit the app. We hope this can be of help!

 ### 4. Needs Work

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

I am able to track the hours I work on each customer’s projects

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

1. There is de facto no iOS app, since it prohibits long passwords, so I can’t login to it (despite being able to login no problem on the Windows app); whereas I want to be able to log project time on the move when I don’t have my laptop switched on.

2. On Windows it can only take screenshots every 5 minutes which is WAY too long! Every 5 seconds would be my preference, or even better a screen recording.

3. I used DeskTime 6 years ago and I believe at the time you could edit your application title logs but now it looks like you can’t.

4. The new interface is somewhat clunky, with the same information visible on multiple different pages, sometimes with different information mixed in.

5. It is very difficult to know when a project is started because the system tray icon for idle and running are too similar; they should probably be different colours or flash when idle. This means that I often forget to start or stop a project.

6. When idle it continues taking screenshots and logging application titles, unless you enable private time; whereas I want to disable screenshots and tracking on idle. This means that when I show my customers their report, they’re seeing my YouTube videos etc in their log - not good!

I am highly likely to switch to a different company when I have time to try another.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to accurately bill my customers for their projects

**Official Response from Support Team:**

> Thank you for your review! We really appreciate your honest feedback. We're always looking for ways to improve, so customer feedback is important to us!
We wanted to address your first and last points specifically. We've forwarded the information regarding the passwords on the iOS app to our developer team to look into this. And regarding your last point, DeskTime isn't tracking any data during idle time. Please note that idle time is when no actions have been made on the keyboard or mouse for more than 3 minutes (the idle time period could be longer, depending on account settings). If you're using your computer, but don't want to be tracked, you can either start private time or quit the app completely. You can also set specific Tracking times in Settings > Team Members > click on the user > Tracking days. That way, DeskTime will track only within those set times.

 ### 5. ⭐ 1/5 – Unethical Auto-Renewal & No Support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** prakash p. | director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

Nothing we have get completely bad experience

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

DeskTime renewed our annual subscription without consent and charged Rs 1,23,199, up from our previous price of Rs 73,920 — a 67% increase with no notice.

We contacted their support for a refund or price adjustment, but they refused without any valid explanation.

This is unethical billing, and the lack of accountability is unacceptable. Would not recommend DeskTime to any business that values transparency or fair customer service.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

they only response well till your invoice paid once you will paid they will decline all of your request or support

**Official Response from Support Team:**

> We're sorry to hear about your recent experience!
After reviewing your case, we see a misunderstanding has occurred, and we sincerely apologize.

We want to make it right, so we've been trying to get in touch with you regarding a solution; however, we haven't been able to reach you. Please check your email — we hope to hear from you soon!

 ### 6. Detailed Activity Monitoring on Windows system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sayan D. | Technical Support Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

Desktime monitoring all the activity very deeply even the small activity can be seen in the dashboard

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

One things i have oberserved is that it works very in windows system but in linux based like ubuntu is lacking the bit.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the problem of monitoring the task and it's timing and using this user can get detail report of the activity throughout day, weelk or month its work very well.

**Official Response from Support Team:**

> Thank you for your review! Our team is always working hard on improving our app, including the app for Linux OS systems. We really appreciate your feedback!

 ### 7. A complete tool to measure and regulate how your employees work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

What I like the most about DeskTime is its accuracy in tracking time and monitoring employee productivity based on the parameters we, as administrators, define. It captures screenshots regularly—no matter how many monitors the employee uses—which adds an extra layer of visibility and accountability.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

What I don't like as much is that the reports can be a bit confusing and definitely have room for improvement, both visually and statistically. It would also be great if there were an option to record short videos of employees' work sessions for even deeper insights.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DeskTime allows me to clearly see each employee’s sense of responsibility, their working hours, and provides a general guide to how much effort they’re putting into the company and their commitments. This helps us better understand performance and make more informed decisions.

 ### 8. Boosting Productivity with DeskTime: A Game-Changer!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

DeskTime: A Productivity Powerhouse!
One of the best things about DeskTime is its seamless time-tracking capabilities. It automatically records work hours, making it effortless to monitor productivity without manual input. **What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

DeskTime: Great, But with Some Limitations
While DeskTime offers excellent time-tracking and productivity insights, there are a few aspects that could be improved. The automatic tracking feature is helpful, but
pricing a bit high, especially for smaller teams or individual professionals. A more flexible pricing structure could make it more accessible.
Despite these minor drawbacks, DeskTime remains a powerful tool for productivity tracking, and with a few tweaks, it could be even better!

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DeskTime: Solving Productivity Challenges with Smart Tracking

One of its biggest advantages is eliminating the need for manual time logs, which reduces errors and saves valuable time. The project tracking feature ensures that tasks are completed efficiently, making it a valuable tool for teams looking to enhance collaboration.
Additionally, DeskTime helps businesses identify unproductive patterns, allowing them to make informed decisions to improve performance. By providing detailed reports, it empowers users to boost efficiency and maintain better work-life balance.
Overall, DeskTime is a powerful solution for those seeking better time management, enhanced productivity, and insightful work analytics.

 ### 10. Better control of time and tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian M. | Strategic Procurement & Logistics Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2025

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

Since I started using DeskTime, I've noticed a big difference in how I organize my days. It allows me to see where I spend my time and easily spot distractions or tasks that take longer than expected. Thanks to its reports and automatic tracking, I can plan better, prioritize what’s important, and stay focused. It's a very useful tool if you're looking to improve your productivity and get a clear overview of your daily work. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

Overall, I'm very satisfied with DeskTime, but if I had to point out something to improve, it would be the accuracy of the automatic activity tracking. Sometimes it classifies certain apps or websites as "unproductive" when I'm actually using them for work-related tasks. It would be great if category customization were a bit more intuitive or automated. That said, it's still a very useful tool

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I started using DeskTime, I have a much clearer understanding of how I distribute my time throughout the day. It helps me easily identify when I’m most productive and when I tend to get distracted, allowing me to adjust my habits and focus better on what truly matters.

Additionally, it’s very useful for managing tasks and projects, as I can see exactly how much time I dedicate to each one. This not only improves my personal organization but also allows me to transparently justify my work hours, which is especially helpful if I’m working as an employee.
