"High-Quality Scraping and Product Matching with Effortless S3 Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about DeepScout?

At Biano we run a furniture and home-decor product search engine in 11 European markets, and DeepScout covers two jobs for us. First, scraping: DeepScout crawls e-shops and marketplaces that never sent us a product feed (for example Allegro, where they crawled over 50,000 products from the categories we picked) and we simply turn their export into a standard XML feed, so those shops go through our normal import, categorization and catalogue like any other partner. Second, product matching: we export our catalogue to them and they tell us which offers from different e-shops are the same product. Those pairs are the highest-priority product groups on our site and power the price comparison on product pages. The integration is very simple, just files on S3 that our nightly jobs pick up, with no fragile API to maintain. It runs every day without us touching it, the data quality is high, and the team reacts quickly when we ask for a new shop, a category change or send them our list of corrections, which they build into their process. What do you dislike about DeepScout?

Honestly, nothing significant. The only thing to plan for is that a new shop or category is not live from day one: the crawl gets refined over a few rounds before it covers everything you want, but DeepScout handles that iteration for you and keeps you informed.
