What do you like best about Decode?

I use Decode for consumer and user research, and I really appreciate how it combines traditional research responses with behavioral and emotional signals, rather than just relying on what participants say. The AI-generated summaries help me quickly identify themes, and features like webcam-based eye tracking, facial expression analysis, and voice emotion analysis add context that makes the research feel significantly more actionable. The AI aspects also reduce manual work and provide faster, more evidence-backed insights. I find the unified workspace very helpful for organizing and reusing research findings, and the easy initial setup was a plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Decode?

One area I’d improve is the transparency and consistency of the behavioral signals, particularly with webcam-based eye tracking, where lighting, webcam quality, and participant setup can affect precision. I’d also like more granular confidence scores and controls for validating or filtering facial and voice signals, so researchers can distinguish meaningful patterns from context-dependent reactions before using them in important decisions. I’d like Decode to make the reasoning behind each behavioral signal more visible, including a confidence score, the data quality of the recording, and the specific cues that contributed to an emotion or attention result. More researcher controls would also help, such as adjustable thresholds, the ability to exclude unreliable sessions or segments, and side-by-side comparisons across participants or study versions; that would make the existing eye-tracking, facial, and voice signals easier to validate before turning them into research conclusions. What problems is Decode solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Decode for richer consumer research by combining surveys with AI emotion analysis, eye tracking, and insights synthesis. It enhances traditional feedback with emotional and behavioral signals, reducing manual work and providing faster, evidence-backed insights for better decision-making.
