  ### 1. Flexible Database Management, Needs UI Improvement

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I really like DealCloud's flexibility. It's great that we can create new data objects and add or remove fields, which is super important for us as a growing organization. We're constantly getting new insights every month, and with the advancements in AI, it's crucial that we can easily add or delete objects and fields to keep our system up-to-date and running effectively.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

I think the usability from the user interface side is sometimes a bit intuitive and clunky. For example, the tasks are not really that usable. Also, it would be way better if DealCloud itself would provide an MCP to connect to programs like cloud or Copilot. Now I need to build that myself, which is fine, but it just makes the usability of DealCloud less relevant.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DealCloud functions as a database where we save records over relevant contacts, companies, and interrelated relations important for fundraising as a placement agent. It's flexible, allowing us to create new data objects and fields, keeping our system effective with ongoing innovations.

  ### 2. Easy to Use, Seamlessly Integrates with Microsoft, and Backed by Great Support

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

The system is easy to use and can be integrated easily into the Microsoft suite. Performance is excellent, and the support team is always there to help when needed. Once you get to know the system, you can also customise it easily to meet your needs.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

Not much to dislike as we use the system across investment, operations, compliance and Treasury functions. It's our one stop shop.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a one-stop shop for finding out everything about a manager. From the initial meeting all the way through closing, we capture everything, and the system is very easy to use.

  ### 3. Business Development deal sourcing

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

The interface is clean, clearly designed for Private Equity and has a good number of tools that I don’t implement but could see myself using as my career continues and my firm continues to grow. There’s very little not already in the system. I also really like the reporting and data tools to visualize data as we input new deals.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

The service has historically been slow. A lot of turnover on the reps side, never know who I need to reach out to. Sometimes there are hiccups with reporting specifically around calendar invite meetings not syncing with my Outlook.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A clear and easy to read interface/dashboard. A central location for all team members to to input data. I am more informed on my and my teams success and pacing which allows me to make better decisions in my day to day tasks.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I like DealCloud for building our deal pipeline and feeding interactions. I appreciate being able to add new contacts and companies, which helps us get all the analytics from every single meeting, including notes on active and past deals. The details of the features and the merging capabilities are pretty beneficial. The deal pipeline is a useful tool, and the automations are very helpful for us, along with the reports we generate.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

Sometimes, there are glitches in the system when we use the in type of source prop, and it cannot fetch or pull the data.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DealCloud to build our deal pipeline, manage interactions, and add contacts. It solves database issues, provides insights, and allows quick access to all deal information in one click.

It consolidates the firm’s pipeline into a consistent format, ensuring the data is reliable and usable. It also makes it easier to track deal flow.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

Because of the amount of data that needs to be entered, it can sometimes take quite a while to input all the information.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a platform where I can review past deals and quickly confirm whether I’ve already evaluated that space or company before.

I like that you can collect all data, especially from the past, and reuse it later.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

It is sometimes too quick that you get logged out of the website quickly, even though you actually want to continue working on it.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealcloud is a knowledge database for us that consolidates all company knowledge and allows everyone access to it. We use it to track projects.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I find DealCloud easy to self-administer, which is a big plus because we can manage and implement with our team of developers. I like that it improves every quarter, constantly adding features without increasing our baseline costs. I also appreciate its large breadth of potential, managing all kinds of organizational data that doesn’t have a natural home and acting like a web that brings our complicated business with its different functions all together.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

They have lost their way with the private equity company as the primary target and have shifted focus to larger companies. It is now hard as an original client to keep up with the changes and have a strong relationship with the firm to take advantage of new features. The initial setup was challenging.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DealCloud is the web that brings our complicated business and various functions together, handling our development pipeline, capital raises, interactions with LPs, investment data tracking, and managing organizational data.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I really appreciate the reporting flexibility that DealCloud offers, especially when you're well-versed in a list-based software structure. This feature allows me to customize and extract data efficiently, adapting reports to meet specific requirements with ease. I also value the ability to configure almost anything within the platform, which empowers me to tailor the system extensively so it aligns perfectly with our business processes and workflows. The centralization of all firm-wide knowledge is another aspect that stands out for me, as it consolidates information in one cohesive hub, facilitating easy access and collaboration across different teams. This integration boosts our efficiency and supports decision-making by providing a comprehensive view of our organizational data. Additionally, I have successfully built modules myself to track deal team travel, manage deal flow and history, and automate tasks and fundraising activities, showcasing the platform’s versatility.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

I find the UI/UX of DealCloud to be sometimes slow, which can be quite frustrating. Additionally, the mobile app is extremely bad and borderline nonfunctional, making it difficult to use when I'm not at my desk. The initial setup of DealCloud was not easy but no CRM is.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DealCloud enhances firm-wide connectivity, collaboration, and task management while centralizing knowledge and offering flexible reporting. I automate tasks and track deals effectively, although initial setup is challenging and the mobile app needs improvement.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I appreciate DealCloud for automating low-value tasks, which is incredibly beneficial as it allows us to use the suggest contacts and Outlook add-in to ensure data entry is automatically populated into the system. This feature minimizes the need for data creation from the end user, which streamlines processes significantly and enhances efficiency. Additionally, I find the ability to customize widgets immensely valuable, as it allows users to view business processes through their preferred lens while keeping the data centralized within the system. This flexibility enables personalized user experiences while maintaining data integrity. DealCloud's purpose-built functionality for investment banks is particularly appealing, as it distinguishes itself from more generic CRM solutions like Salesforce. The initial setup was smooth, and I value the ease of transitioning to a system that aligns so well with our specific industry needs.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

I find the integrations with other platforms challenging, particularly those requiring a bespoke API integration. Although the DealCloud API documentation is very helpful, the process of getting these integrations up and running is often difficult.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DealCloud to access global information and automate low-value tasks, reducing data entry efforts. Customizable widgets allow me to view business processes the way I prefer. It's purpose-built for investment banks, differentiating it from more generic CRMs like Salesforce.
