What do you like best about DDN Infinia?

This object storage system (WOS) achieves 1.2 GB per second, per node, in client applications. WOS employs a file system-less architecture that provides better disk efficiency and faster performance. DDN thus achieves a performance gain because there is no POSIX file system overhead, file fragmentation, or slowdown at scale.

DDN WOS8460 is five units (5U) high, with a 1U object storage node and a 4U enclosure, which can house 84 drives. The maximum raw capacity would be 840 TB using 10 TB drives (although clients also have the option to use lower capacity drives, reducing the total maximum raw capacity of the system proportionally). What do you dislike about DDN Infinia?

Although the aggregation of the disks according to the requirements is quite simple, sometimes it is a bit difficult to assign the logical units created to their servers or data centers. That is the most complicated moment, and it requires doing it carefully; then it becomes very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DDN Infinia:

DDN WOS allows starting with a two-node cluster, and growing one node at a time (unlike some competing products that require starting with a minimum of six or more nodes and multi-node upgrades). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DDN Infinia solving and how is that benefiting you?
