"DBeaver: Rock-Solid, Free Multi-Database Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DBeaver?

DBeaver connects to everything I throw at it — Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, even MongoDB — without making me buy different tools. The UI isn't winning design awards, but it's laid out well enough that I never feel lost, and performance has been rock solid with no crashes on large queries. The Community Edition is completely free, which is insane value compared to paid alternatives. Support is mostly community forums and old Stack Overflow threads, but onboarding is basically plug-and-play — install, connect, and you're off. The only place it falls short is AI; there's no intelligent query generation or natural language help, just basic schema-aware autocomplete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DBeaver?

The UI feels clunky and dated — like a Java app from ten years ago — and navigating between tabs and connections gets messy fast. Integrations work for standard databases, but connecting to less common data sources is a huge headache with driver issues. Performance is mostly fine, but opening a database with hundreds of tables takes way too long while it scans metadata. Pricing is great for the free version, but the Enterprise edition jumps in cost quickly without adding much you'd actually need. Support is basically nonexistent unless you pay, and onboarding assumes you already know how to troubleshoot driver configs and connection strings. And the AI features? Pretty much a joke — there's nothing intelligent beyond basic autocomplete, and that sometimes gets the schema wrong anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
