**What do you like best about CYME Power Engineering Software?**

Cyme is a easy to use software that have various modules like CYMDISt,CYMCAP for various industrial analysis needes. The integration with arcgis is also easy and one can use it several times for analysis.

**What do you dislike about CYME Power Engineering Software?**

Cyme software hava a drawback in maximum size of database of MS Acess. If the size goes above 300 Mb it slows down and hard to use.

**What problems is CYME Power Engineering Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software helps analysing the electrical transmission and distribution network of any industry, mainly the loadflow and fault analysis can be done which is important for any electrical indutries.

**What do you like best about CYME Power Engineering Software?**

I like the way the orientation of CYME prepared. I did for my QP Project for the first time. Client got satisfied with CYME output and it’s delivered output reports for all power System analysis. I got special appreciation for this Project due to CYME tool. I need to special thanks for the Manual team which made easy to learn this tool self within a 2 days time and met client requirements in 5 to 10 days.

**What do you dislike about CYME Power Engineering Software?**

It should be upgraded to user friendly. Presently, it is 100% user friendly for Power system engineering specialist like me but not for the initial beginners. This will make CYME more successful in market.

**Recommendations to others considering CYME Power Engineering Software:**

CYME is well authenticated, most reliable, quality output tool with many best features. Use and satisfy your client. Their manuals are the best.

**What problems is CYME Power Engineering Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All from Load flow to relay coordination.
Benefits as I said above, timely, quality and reliable output report which satisfies the external client (QP) and internal Seniors within Petrofac.

Aesthetics. Can be much better than now.

The flexibility in feeding inputs and varied types of output reports that can be generated are really helpful.

The copy paste option needs to be more robust while drawing network elements.

By load flow studies we identify overloaded network elements and introduce mitigating elements to keep the network healthy.

I would recommend power system designers specifically dealing with distribution network design to equip themselves with expertise in this powerful software for better studyand planning of an efficient and close to real time power system.

Losd flow study for efficent power system design. Benefits most probably relates to energy losses reduction with improve voltage profile.

Capacitor placement module is very efficient for loss reduction.
 Single phase simulation of CymDist is efficient for distribution engineers. Import of GIS overlay feature is helpful in accurate positioning of the network and quick geographical addressing.

**What do you dislike about CYME Power Engineering Software?**

Ploting features and output report may be improved.

Cymdist is powerful for Distribution System

Used mainly Cymdist as Distribution Planning Engineer. 
Calculate and validated planned networks.
Calculated short circuit values.
Identified switching Optimizations 
Used for loss calculation and reduction.

Customer support always available during normal business hours. Always have ongoing training. Which that could be done on customer site though. Great modeling tool!

The fact that learning this software was not a part of any graduate studies curriculum especially for those who specialize in power engineering.

The generator scheduling problem. I have got very insightful results in the sense that I can pickup the best scheduling settings to minimize the cost.

They both were easy to operate and the reports generated were quite concise and yet with sufficient explanation.

The version I worked with had pretty sparse library. Customer support can also improve

For earthing size calc and cable sizing calc. Its reports were accepted by the client and consultant in my previous employer to approve the design.

Easy to model. Modules for power flow, short circuit and motor start analysis.
Also the reliability module.

None. The results are accurat. And, reports generated easily.

Cymdist cymtcc and cymcap are the bests.

Voltage drop. Rapture rate of OCR. Location of set of regulators. Planning new feeders and substations. Protection/coordination.
