## Cornerstone Learning Reviews
  ### 1. Intuitive Platform, Needs Better Support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | Sr HRIS Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I like that Cornerstone Learning is efficiently designed and very user-friendly. It's integrated well with our core HR system, which helps in reminding employees to finish required trainings and keeps their managers up to date on progress. The data integrations are often and smooth, allowing updated information like manager reporting relationships and job changes to settle into Cornerstone quickly, providing the correct required trainings. The initial setup of Cornerstone Learning was very easy, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The cost was a bit high and sometimes we had trouble getting support on problems from the Cornerstone team. Just slow reply or incomplete answers.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cornerstone Learning for pushing required compliance trainings and enhancing employee skills. It's user-friendly, integrates well with our HR system, and ensures managers stay updated on training progress.

  ### 2. Modern, Centralized Learning with HRIS Integration—But Setup Can Feel Rigid

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrianna R. | HRIS Implementation Specialist II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Centralized learning & personalized learning pathways, ideal for expanding organizations, integrated well with HRIS and also has a modern UI. Change enable not just a tool.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Bit complex integration and implementation. Somewhat high cost for licensing fee, support etc,. Rigid, limited flexibility without customization causing the experience to feel overwhelming

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved quality with less errors, stronger governance, better workforce planning, increased productivity, stronger talent development, great analytics on completion rates, performance and learning impact.

  ### 3. User-Friendly, AI-Driven Workforce Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiv K. | Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I like the artificial intelligence in Cornerstone Learning. The workforce management software is also user-friendly and AI-driven. It's easy for new learners.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

I think Cornerstone Learning could be better by adding customization and configuration options. I would also like to have some real-time work features so I can add them to my project.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cornerstone Learning for better career growth and staying updated over time. It's user-friendly, AI-driven, and enhances workforce management.

  ### 4. Great for compliance - horrible for the end-user

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A. | Training Portfolio Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

It's a great platform when you want to demonstrate compliance - but that's it. If you plan to use it, do this: Use it out of the box - adapt your processes to how the system works - not the other way around.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Note: Most people writing reviews about Cornerstone are not end-users (learners). Learners suffer horribly in Cornerstone.

Where do I begin? I've seen it twice now in my different employments.
It has a horrible end-user interface making me doubt that those who built it even have UX designers employed. Things are not logical - at all. Buttons that are essential are not clear, the learning flow is off. I could go on and on.

Writing this (July 2025) relaunching courses by just clicking "Launch" from a curriculum is not possible. The button now says "Request" which doesn't make sense - as you've already viewed the course once. Why would you need to request it? It then sends an approval request that is missed by the ueres' manager. An LMS where you can't revisit your eLearning without a Phd in UX... I lack a proper vocabulary for describing this.

When making Cornerstone aware of issues (like notes(!) not visible to all users) - nothing happens. It's a system for compliance for crying out loud - so things should be tested before launching new features - it seems like they don'ty do that - at all.

It says it all that we have an army of support people employed to answer questions about the use of the system. The new curriculum player 2.0 used to display learning content looks like it was created by someone who doesn't understand how online learning works. The learner should see the course they are taking - nothing else. They don't care about progress in the curriculum while they are trying to learn something - it's like reading a book with commercials in it.

On a normal laptop, the space allowed for the actual learning part (the online course) is so limited, that you need a magnifying glass to view it, if your screen isn't at least 21 inches. Yes, you can click a very small highlighted text so the course launches in a new window, but yet again Cornerstone misses out on the basics of UX. I heard once that Cornerstone considers themselves to be the Microsoft of LMSs. I beg to differ - a lot!

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cornerstone helps display that we are compliant in our training efforts (medical device industry). It does a great job here.

  ### 5. Great Course Variety, but Compatibility Could Improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

the variety of courses for our employees

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

the easy integration with other systems.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helping accelerate our succession plan by providing adequate training to our employees

  ### 6. Complete and future new features adapted to reality of companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruben F. | Tecnico de Sistemas de Talento y Aprendizaje y HR Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The back administration is very complete and with New features in each new release. Also it has a big users community to help and suggest me New learning ideas. Also the mobile integration is a very good insight.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Not to much adaptable or flexible in changes. you cant revert some steps when you make the configurations. Also some workflows were strong to change and we must adapt our procedures to be as cornerstone suggest. Not to much important. The online authoring tool is quite poor.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Try to have all learning objects in csod . Prepare all type of communications, workflows etc before implementing. And its important integrate LMS to all company systems as Microsoft Teams because de user experience will be mejorated. everything that has to do with SSO user validation and mobile application use greatly facilitates usability by students, this is an important recommendation.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems were typical with a new software tool with admin etc... but after that its a learning centralizated tool adaptes to the user and with different ways to learn anywhere. Also we can launch projects integratin all learning resources of the company in one place and cornerstone helps us to have that place.

  ### 7. Connestone is your new learning partner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradip G. | Technology Lead, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The plots I created during the learning experience were very good and added a lot of value to my understanding.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are many authentication steps required when trying to access the learning materials.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While learning, they provide exactly what is needed.

  ### 8. Robust learning management system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Talent Development Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Reporting capabilities are expansive, but at times, data needs to be exported to create advanced dashboards. Automated Email Notifications are good assets of the system as well. I like how they are always striving to be the best in the business and have an agile approach to updating the system. The skills functionality is helpful in impacting career conversations. The talent marketplace is the culmination of the foundational work in the skills space.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Interest List Management and evaluation functionality are not easy to use. Edge import templates need to be updated to better describe required field formats. The templates do not indicate the fields need to be id numbers instead of the name of the field.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Really great system with a lot of robust options. Learn as much as you can up front and then create an account in the Success Center to learn more.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to consolidate our learning opportunities and track compliance of required training. We are also able to create dashboard data for our managers and leaders. We are building the foundation of our skills and hoping this will help with employee development/engagement. The new people matrix is proving to be a wonderful tool for managers and CSOD has been very open to suggestions. Excited to see the future of this functionality.

  ### 9. Cornerstone Learning: Scalable and Powerful Learning Platform With Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joann V. | Learning Systems Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

1) Scalability - great for large organizations such as ours. 2) Good for administering compliance training, which is what we mainly use it for, although we are trying to encourage more usage for career/professional development purposes. 3) Wide range of out-of-the-box content - we purchased some Content Anytime subscriptions and found this helpful content for curation and professional development opportunities. 4) Accessibility - they're rolling out as many accessible features as quickly as possible, but I wish the releases happen more quickly. 5) Customer support - Cornerstone's customer support and knowledge/support bank of helpful articles are among their greatest services. I appreciate the abundance of information and knowledge I can find on Knowledge Central and Online Help pages, which help me quickly look up answers to my questions.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

1) User interface - while parts of Cornerstone are updated, there are some pages like the Certificates, My Team views, and Custom Pages that feel and look outdated. There are certain features that don't feel cohesive within the whole system as the UI looks different from page to page. 2) Reporting - while Cornerstone provides reports that have the basic information and are great starting points, I'd like to see more robust customization features that feel less clunky. Currently, the reporting feature feels overwhelming and not as intuitive; I'd like to see improvements where I can use the filters and see changes to the reports in real time as I'm making changes. I also don't like that I have to "schedule" or "refresh" the reports, as this goes back to my comment about wanting to see the changes in real time to ensure that's the data I want to see before downloading it. 3) Admin features - while I appreciate the wide array of admin features the system offers, it can be challenging to understand what the effects are if one feature is turned on/configured and one is not. This is where the Knowledge Central and online help pages are helpful, but even then, it's still not always clear. I'm wondering if AI can be incorporated to make it easier on the admin as they're configuring settings; for example, AI could have pop-up reminders or notes that suggest, "Have you considered turning on X, since you have Y setting enabled?" or something alike, to help admins better understand the interconnectedness of the features they enable.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly administering and tracking compliance trainings

  ### 10. LMS Administrator with roughly 2000 employees currently using Cornerstone Learning (Leap).

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The amount of options it provides for the Administrator. Sometimes it can seem a little overwhelming, but once you are working in it for a bit, it really does offer ways to accomplish any and all scenarios that come your way!

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Some of the screens that I think should or could be combined are seperate. For example in the course catalog there are some options for learning objects and then under each learning type that are another set of options. It can be confusing to remember where to locate what edits.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of specific needs for our LMS and there is always a way for us to accomplish it in Cornerstone Learning. Sometimes we even find ways within the system to make functions even more streamlined than what we thought. Using the office hours and help areas are also extremely useful. And the community is more valuable than I could have imagined!!
