What do you like best about CookieScript?

What stands out most about CookieScript is how easy it makes something typically painful: compliance.

The platform is extremely straightforward to set up, even for non-legal or non-specialist users, and it handles complex requirements like GDPR, ePrivacy, and consent logging without turning it into a project of its own. The automatic cookie scanning is reliable and saves a lot of manual work, while the customization options (banner design, behavior, geo-targeting) are flexible enough to fit real-world product needs.

From a technical perspective, integration is clean and fast, with minimal impact on performance. From a business perspective, it reduces risk without slowing down development.

What do you dislike about CookieScript?

If I had to point out a downside, it would be that some advanced customizations and edge-case configurations aren’t as intuitive as the core setup.

While the basics are very easy to get running, when you need more granular control (for example, highly specific consent flows or complex multi-domain setups), the documentation could be a bit clearer and more structured. You sometimes end up digging around to fully understand how to achieve a specific behavior.

Also, the UI, while functional, could be more modern and streamlined in certain areas—especially when managing multiple projects or reviewing detailed reports.

CookieScript solves a very concrete problem: making websites compliant with privacy regulations (GDPR, ePrivacy, etc.) without turning compliance into a time-consuming legal and technical burden.

Before using it, managing cookies and user consent meant a mix of manual audits, custom scripts, and constant uncertainty about whether everything was actually compliant. CookieScript automates this entire layer: it scans the site, categorizes cookies, blocks them correctly before consent, and keeps consent logs—all in a structured and reliable way.

The benefit is both operational and strategic. On the operational side, it saves a significant amount of time for both developers and legal teams, eliminating repetitive checks and manual fixes. On the strategic side, it reduces compliance risk and allows us to move faster with product updates without worrying about breaking consent rules every time something changes.
