What do you like best about Convergence Data PIM?

The employees are easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the DFR software. They have been able to answer any question about the software and data I have asked. DFR is intuitive to use both in the webUI and the desktop version. Its flexibility allows me to design how we would like our in-house PIM to look as far as structure and attribution. In reference to data sourcing, Convergence Data's approach to obtaining item attribution is methodical and practical. DFR set up allowing for renaming of the attributes to match existing Daikin attributes makes the software beneficial to use for exporting/importing between the two systems. In addition, CDS is open to suggestions to make improvements to the software and inquires if there is anything they can do to improve our experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Convergence Data PIM?

The downside of using Convergence Data PIM has nothing to do with the software itself. When we did our large image sourcing project, the only way to ensure 100% verification of the images was to manually review them, one by one. At the time (2021) CDS returned images which were not of the actual item nor related to HVACR since the search was widened. Secondarily, the lack of standard industry terms makes it difficult to automatically determine if attributes for each supplier reference the same attribute. An example would be voltage(s). By supplier, by item, the attribute is named differently. In addition there are many voltage measurements depending on the items class, each with different naming by supplier. What problems is Convergence Data PIM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Convergence Data PIM is sourcing attribution for Parts/Supplies/Accessories items for Daikin. We supply the supplier name for each item as well as suggested Distributor sites which are we deem as well attributed and CDS returns detailed attribution on our items. This allows us to add the attribution to our PIM system at an increased rate as well as determine Mandatory Attributes and naming conventions. We then can push the attribution downstream for our customers much sooner than sourcing the information ourselves, ultimately resulting in happier customers and increased sales.
