## About Spark Hire
Resumes tell you what someone has done. They don't tell you whether that person can do the job, how they communicate, or whether they'll stay. Spark Hire's applicant tracking system is built to close that gap without adding coordination overhead. Designed for the specific hiring realities faced by lean HR teams, every Spark Hire plan includes one-way video interviews and automated reference checks natively, with no separate contract or integration to manage. Growth and Enterprise plans add the Predictive Behavioral Assessment, a research-backed evaluation of how a candidate's competencies and motivations align with the specific role. AI capabilities across the platform help lean teams reach strong candidates faster. AI Resume Review ranks applicants before human reviewers engage. AI Video Review scores and summarizes submissions so reviewers know where to start. Structured scorecards keep hiring manager feedback in the system instead of being scattered across various tools. The hiring process runs end-to-end in one place. Every step connects to the next. Built for organizations with 50 to 500 employees. No dedicated IT team required. Live in 30 days or less.

## Spark Hire Reviews
 ### 1. Spark Hire Saves Us Tons of Time with Convenient One-Way Video Interviews

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah G. | HR Generalist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

Spark Hire has helped to save so much time in our first round interviews by allowing our candidates to complete a one-way video interview when it is convenient for them, within a timeframe we have allotted. It saves us from having to schedule those interviews and meet one-on-one with candidates at this stage of our recruitment process. The structure of the platform is immensely helpful for us!

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I wish I was able to pull more specific reporting myself without having to ask for assistance, but we also request very niche reporting. The reports we can pull are super helpful and ensuring we remain consistent across all aspects of our recruitments.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spark Hire is a cost savings for us because we have roughly 10 minutes of an individual to watch rather than have multiple people in a room for 30 minute interviews - it saves us on labor budget and ensures that we have time for the various other aspects of our jobs.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Hi there, Sarah! We love seeing these numbers. Shifting from a 30-minute live interview to a 10-minute review is a huge win, allowing you to get that time back for more high-impact tasks.

Regarding your reporting concerns, we hear you! While we’re glad the reports you're using are keeping your process consistent, we understand the desire for more self-service options on those niche data points. Our support team is always happy to pull those for you, but we’ll be sure to share this feedback with our product team, too. Thanks for being a great partner!

 ### 2. Intuitive, Recruiter-Friendly System with Exceptionally Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaked M. | HRBP Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

The system is very intuitive and easy to use, and provides a great solution for all of my needs as a recruiter. The service is always pleasant, professional, and responsive, and the support from the team has been extremely helpful throughout our experience.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

Can't really think of something at the moment

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system helps me keep my recruitment processes organized, track candidate statuses, share recruitment data and insights with hiring managers, and maintain relevant information regarding candidates and open positions.

In addition, the AI features that were introduced have helped speed up processes significantly, and overall the platform helps me automate and streamline many parts of the recruitment workflow.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for your review, Shaked! It's tremendous to hear that Spark Hire is helping you keep candidate statuses organized and share pipeline visibility with hiring managers. We're also glad to hear that Spark Hire AI is allowing you to speed things up rather than adding complexity to your hiring process.

We'll make sure the support team sees your review, too. It means a lot coming from someone using the platform day to day.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with Spark Hire!

 ### 3. Good value, but stage ordering and scheduling link issues hurt usability

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

The price is good, especially for a product designed for smaller companies.

The support is fast - both during the initial setup and later on, when questions or bugs come up along the way.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I tried the AI screening feature once, and unfortunately it didn’t work as well as I had hoped. There wasn’t a strong correlation between its screening and our manual screening.

The user interface has improved significantly following the recent update, and the customization is convenient. One thing I’m still missing is that the list of stages is not organized according to the actual process flow. For example, “CV Screen” might appear at the top of the list, while “Phone Interview” appears fourth. It feels like there is no clear stage order.

In addition, after candidates are rejected, they don’t appear in the list according to the order in which they were rejected. They seem to be sorted by a different logic - maybe by application date. This makes it difficult to track candidates I just rejected, especially if I want to quickly go back and edit something in their profile.

Regarding the interview scheduling link - the link is only open one week ahead, and it doesn’t update dynamically as time passes. For example, if I send the link on Sunday, it only shows availability for the upcoming week. If the candidate misses the email and opens it on Tuesday, it still only shows availability until Saturday. Because of this, I often find myself sending candidates a scheduling link directly from my Gmail calendar, since the system link doesn’t show enough future availability and isn’t dynamic.

Templates: we use the self-scheduling interview template quite often, but there is no differentiation between templates based on the stage in the process. This means we can’t add specific context about the stage or the expected length of the interview the candidate is about to schedule.

For candidates who applied to multiple roles, the duplication is clearly visible, which is helpful. However, once I merge the profiles, I don’t have a good visual indication that the candidate previously applied to a certain role and was rejected.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system allows me to manage all my candidates in one place, while also giving interviewers and hiring managers access to the relevant information.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for this detailed feedback! Quality customer support and fair pricing are two things we work hard to get right, so it's great to hear positive commentary about both.

Your CSM is the right person to work through the usability issues with you directly, but we want to provide you with some direct input here, as well:

On AI Resume Review: The feature has gone through several significant updates recently, and getting the requirements dialed in sometimes takes more than one pass. If the screening isn't correlating well with your manual process, that's worth revisiting with your Customer Success Manager. The requirement setup has a real impact on the output. The addition of internal requirements also allows you to add additional criteria that matter to your hiring team, but are not shared publicly with candidates. Your CSM can help you work through what might need adjusting here.

On stage ordering: The order stages that appear in the list are connected to how the workflow is built. Our Customer Support team can definitely walk you through how to get it to reflect your actual process.

On the scheduling link window: The behavior you're describing, availability not updating dynamically as time passes, warrants a closer look at your current configuration with your CSM to determine whether there's a workaround available. In the meantime, we will share this with the Product team.

On template differentiation by stage and merged candidate history: We are actively working on adding this capability.

Thank you for your feedback and continued partnership!

 ### 4. Efficient, Easy to Use, Supportive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miranda H. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

Efficiency, ease of the product, designated rep availability and response time, customization tools

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I wish there was a way for candidates to "blur" their background or set up a themed background for One-Way Interviews. Some folks show up with mayhem behind them and it is very distracting for the evaluator.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a single recruiter for over 95 apartment communities, having time back in my day to accomplish other major tasks was important to me. It's given me time back to build out our internship program, attend more career/hiring events. It's also allowed me to prequalify candidates based on their Ome Way and PTA versus getting through an entire 30-60 min interview only to determine they were not qualified.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for sharing a review! One recruiter supporting 95 apartment communities is an incredible operational challenge. Getting time back in your day to build out an internship program, attend hiring events, and still screen candidates effectively is exactly the kind of outcome we want the platform to deliver.

Regarding your one-way video background blur request: good news. This is something we're actively working on as part of an upcoming update. Your Customer Success Manager will keep you posted on those details, including timing, as it gets closer to rolling out.

Thanks so much for your partnership, Miranda!

 ### 5. Streamlined Recruitment with Spark Hire

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shir T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

I like sending emails directly from the system, interview scheduling, and reminders in Spark Hire. These features streamline the entire recruitment process in one place, keeping the hiring process organized and efficient. They save me time, improve communication, and create a smoother candidate experience. I also found the initial setup of Spark Hire to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I was hoping that when an employee refers a friend of theirs, they can get a confirmation email about that. Currently, as I understood from your support team, the referral email is only sent to the referrer when the candidate is sent through email and not through the special link.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Spark Hire for recruiting, it improves candidate experience and follow-ups, allows receiving CVs from referrals, involves managers in recruiting, and its features streamline the process, save me time, improve communication, and create a smoother experience.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for sharing this review, Shir! Having email, scheduling, and reminders all run from one system instead of needing to jump between tools is the kind of day-to-day friction Spark Hire was designed to remove. We’re really happy to hear the setup experience was so smooth, too.

Regarding your note about referral confirmation emails, we appreciate your feedback. We actually currently have an open feature request about this, and your CSM will be sure to update you once it goes live.

Thanks so much for your time and partnership!

 ### 6. Streamlined Hiring with Easy Setup, but Needs Better Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Augusta Lawn Care o. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

I like how Spark Hire reduces the amount of time I have to spend calling unqualified candidates. It allows me to focus on people who are motivated for the job, as they are willing to do a five or ten-minute video interview. The higher percentage of candidates completing video interviews with Spark Hire is a big plus for me. It eliminates a ton of calls that I would otherwise have to make. I also appreciate how the video interview feature helps weed out candidates who aren't suitable, which is super helpful. The initial setup of Spark Hire was extremely easy. The orientation and basic setup made it feel very simple, even with my limited technical capacity, so I think anyone can do it.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I was confused about the invite process. It's supposed to show how many people you invited, but I noticed it was drastically wrong. I sent out probably 100 to 115 links, but it only registered like 25 or 30. So, I'm not sure how that works, and that was slightly confusing to me.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Spark Hire reduces time spent on unqualified candidates, allowing me to focus on motivated ones who complete video interviews. It eliminates a ton of calling and works well for hiring blue-collar workers who might struggle with other tools.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for your review! Using completion as a signal for motivation is a really smart approach. If a candidate is willing to take ten minutes to record a video interview, that offers some really meaningful insight before you've spent a minute of your own time. We’re super glad to hear Spark Hire is helping you cut down on calls and build more efficiency into your hiring process.

On the invite tracking issue you noted, that is worth a closer look because those numbers definitely shouldn't be that far apart. There are a few ways invites can go out that might affect how they show up in the count. Your Customer Success Manager can look into this for you to help you determine what happened and ensure everything is registering correctly going forward.

Thanks for your continued support and partnership!

 ### 7. Efficient Video Interview Tool, Slight AI Tweaks Needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arthel H. | Lead, Talent & Acquisition, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

I appreciate Spark Hire for its user-friendliness, which not only benefits my team but also creates a positive experience for candidates, with 85% completing their video interviews successfully. I also find the platform very easy to use for finding jobs and interview question sets, navigating live roles, and reviewing video interviews. Customizing the candidate experience adds extra value. The customer service is another aspect I appreciate, as the team is responsive and considers our feedback. The one-way video interview features are incredibly valuable, especially with the transcript option that allows us to read responses, and the customization of think time, response time, and retakes enhances our hiring process.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

Some things that could be improved are the ease of user ability to deactivate past interview packages or customize their AI tool. They have an AI tool that was recently introduced to the platform that gives an assessment of candidates' video interview responses. It overwhelmingly marks candidate responses as strong, even when they aren't, and this could be something we customize to ensure alignment and cut down our time to review.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Spark Hire to streamline initial interviews, reducing time and improving our process with flexible scheduling and equitable candidate review.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for sharing this review, Arthel. An 85% completion rate is really strong, and the detail you shared about transcripts, think time, and response time customization reflects exactly the kind of structured screening process those features are designed to support.

We also appreciate your feedback on our AI assessment tool. If it's surfacing "strong" signals too broadly, it's not doing the job it's built to do, which is helping your team focus attention, not add to your workload. We recently made updates to this feature, which we believe speak directly to your concern. However, I also recommend flagging this to your Customer Success Manager, who can help you get the most out of the tool.

Regarding your request about having the ability to deactivate past interview packages, we will be sure to pass this to our Product Team.

Thanks so much for your partnership!

 ### 8. Streamlines Candidate Screening with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara P. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

I really like how easy it is to set up screenings on Spark Hire. My favorite new tool is the AI proctoring, which helps determine which candidates might be using AI to assist them in the interview process.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I wish it was easier to collaborate when viewing Spark Hires. It seems hard to collaborate effectively amongst panel members. It would just go smoother if it was a quick, easy response. I feel like there's too many options, and people just don't bother.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spark Hire helps us quickly determine who is actually interested in the program and who we can eliminate, based on their responses.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for sharing this review of Spark Hire, Sara! Being able to quickly identify which candidates are genuinely engaged in the process and move on from those who aren't is exactly the kind of early signal that saves real time down the line.

We’re also thrilled to hear that our new AI Proctoring feature is already earning its place in your workflow, helping you spot possible AI-generated content and flag it for your team's review.

We appreciate your feedback, as well. If panel members are hitting too many steps before they can share their thoughts on a candidate, they're going to find a workaround, and that usually means moving off the platform. Your Customer Success Manager is the best resource to walk you through the sharing and rating workflows to see if there's a simpler path that may be a better fit for your team.

 ### 9. Streamlined Recruitment with AI-Powered Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peyton F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

I use Spark Hire for the initial screening portion of the recruitment process. The platform itself is awesome, especially with how it allows me to screen more candidates in a week than with Zoom call interviews. I love how Spark Hire organizes different jobs and lets me create a specific interview unique to each job. The AI overview of candidates' responses really helps with my note-taking as I listen to their video responses. I appreciate being able to go into the job folder and see all the candidates for just that position, which is very organized. As a recruiter handling diverse jobs, the platform's customization capabilities for questions and response times are essential for tailoring interviews specific to each role. I love it enough to give it a 10 on a recommendation scale.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

N/a

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spark Hire lets us screen more candidates efficiently, replacing Zoom. I can customize interviews for diverse jobs and appreciate its organization of job folders. The AI overview aids my notes during video responses.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for sharing this incredible review, Peyton. Screening more candidates than Zoom calls would allow, with interviews customized per role and everything organized by job, is exactly the workflow Spark Hire’s platform is designed to support. It's great to hear the AI summaries are earning their place in your process, too, especially during active review when note-taking and listening at the same time is its own challenge.

A 10 out of 10 recommendation means a lot! I'll pass it along to the team. Thanks so much for your partnership!

 ### 10. Streamlined Candidate Screening, Saves Time and Effort

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline E. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

I really appreciate the time and energy Spark Hire saves us in the hiring process. It's great for giving us a full feel for a candidate for our HR team and hiring managers before we even meet them. With Spark Hire, we're able to review a lot more candidates efficiently, which is so important because we often have many positions posted at once and only a small number of recruiters available to handle it all. The ability to use Spark Hire's one-way video interview and reference check system as an initial screening platform is invaluable before we decide if we want to go on a longer call with a candidate.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

Suggested or AI generated interview questions included in the platform that we could choose from would be a great addition at some point.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spark Hire saves us time by enabling us to evaluate candidates through video interviews before committing to lengthy calls, helping us manage a high volume of applications with just 1.5 recruiters.

**Official Response from Tiffany Clark:**

> Thank you for your review! Managing a high volume of open roles with a small recruiting team means every hour spent on the wrong candidate is an hour you don't get back. We’re so glad to hear that Spark Hire is helping you protect that time and recruit as efficiently as possible.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding AI-generated questions, understanding how valuable this would be to help further streamline that specific portion of the hiring process, particularly for a lean hiring team like yours. I will share your note with our Product Team!

In the meantime, I suggest reaching out to your CSM; our Customer Support team is truly the best in the business and would be happy to provide you with additional resources and support!
