What do you like best about Collabora Online?

Collabora brings real‑time document editing into a self‑hosted environment. It feels like having the convenience of Google Docs but with the privacy and control of running it on your own server. I also appreciate how well it integrates with platforms like Nextcloud, so teams can collaborate on files directly without leaving their workspace. What do you dislike about Collabora Online?

Collabora Online can feel a bit slow and heavy when editing larger documents. The interface isn’t always as smooth as other online editors, and sometimes there are compatibility quirks with complex formatting. It works well overall, but performance and polish could be better. What problems is Collabora Online solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collabora Online addresses the need for secure, real-time collaboration without having to depend on external cloud providers. Previously, sharing and editing documents often meant emailing files back and forth or turning to third-party services that came with privacy concerns.

With Collabora, I can edit documents directly in Nextcloud together with colleagues, track changes, and keep everything centralized. The result is smoother teamwork, fewer version conflicts, and full control over where my data lives.
