What do you like best about CoffeeCup HTML Editor?

I like the entire format, from the conception of its basic coding, the realistic evaluation of the excellent operability of the software, to the fine resulting HTML code for the web application for additions, the creation of web pages, and changes in the code itself. We can build a website, but we have no prior knowledge of HTML or CSS. Anyone can learn this tool very quickly. The CPU usage with this tool is not very high. I really like how the entire application is designed. It is very intuitive. Debugging was very easy and I could send the website to production quite easily without any excessive hassle. What do you dislike about CoffeeCup HTML Editor?

the only drawback of the Coffee Cup software; including this CoffeeCup HTML editor is, and apparently remains, a bit pretentious, the final HTML producers are only satisfied by disbursing large amounts of funds to receive an HTML code that is simply extremely comparable; in itself and its somewhat cautious discontent with a great HTML editor, by dragging and dropping some features would have limited capabilities for customization. It would be better to add more features for advanced web development, it lacks the graphical capabilities I would like in this type of program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoffeeCup HTML Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefits of using this excellent software cannot be mentioned in one word. I can design my own fully customizable toolbars. I can complete the entire code: it suggests elements, attributes, and selectors. I can prepare adaptable Themes and layouts. I can work effectively with Markdown support from plain text to HTML. What do you like best about CoffeeCup HTML Editor?

CoffeeCup HTML Editor is a beautiful editor which makes it easy to create HTML files. This editor is especially made for creating HTML files using drag and drop approach. Beginners to HTML will love this editor for its easy to use approach. The best thing is you need not worry if you don't remember HTML syntax. The tool generates most of the HTML tags for you. You just need to fill in the content part.

Another thing which is really helpful is the Live Preview feature. As you code, you can also see a live preview of the webpage right in the editor.

As far as the functionality is concerned, there is nothing which I could dislike in the CoffeeCup Editor.

CoffeeCup HTML Editor is a freeware tool, which makes it easy to develop web pages using HTML/CSS. Installation of the software on a Windows PC was equally easy. Live Preview of a web page is a handy feature provided by the tool.

What do you like best about CoffeeCup HTML Editor?

When I started using it, the app didn't have templates or anything fancy like that. But I was told it was a great replacement for my then-Windows PC Notepad software. I was just starting out learning HTML. The app has changed greatly since then and yet in the most important ways it's stayed stable and the same. I had been using Dreamweaver as well but wanted to challenge myself to code without a visual crutch (though that option was also possible with Dreamweaver). CoffeeCup is a much more simple application that does allow previews, something I came to rely on. I also loved the file manager as it was much more simplistic than the heavy-resource-sucking Dreamweaver. I found it to be very easy to start using right after install and other than stumbling over some of my own then-lacking CSS and HTML knowledge, I didn't find myself having to search to use any of the features. The free version does not allow some features like a basic spell-checker and the interface could use some sprucing up. These days the application seems like it's more for those doing coding as a hobby and doesn't offer the real in-depth features needed for professional use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering CoffeeCup HTML Editor:

If you are someone who enjoys a basic editor that loads fast but wants the bells and whistles of pre-made templates then I would say this is for you. The components library is something that I have found sometimes very useful and other times not at all. I think it just depends on what you, the designer and coder are seeking. These days they have tried to compete more directly with Dreamweaver, a subscription-based application by Adobe. I would at least recommend someone try CoffeeCup if you want a much cheaper option with at least similar features. I already subscribe to Adobe so I don't have need for Coffee Cup but it's not a bad editor (and not the best either). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoffeeCup HTML Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I did have some crashing issues for some time that I couldn't ever get resolved either on my own or by reaching out for support. I also had some bugs happen with FTP connection and I did not have those same connectivity issues with any other coding software at the time. What CoffeeCup did do though for me was provide a fairly fast-behaving app that I could bring up in a snap to make changes to my static websites. I haven't had much success even attempting to use their templates or other "fancy" features. The version I had installed up until about a year ago was the basic mimimalistic app that may even be somewhat nostalgic for me. I have to admit that nowadays if I need an editor I DO reach for Dreamweaver instead. It's bulky but one cannot beat the feature-rich newer versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My typical use is to edit HTML and CFM pages from prior projects, and use them to create new ones. So, I rarely use the tools for designing pages provided in this application.
