"Cloudbolt CMP: Fast VM Automation with Fantastic, Hands-On Support"

What do you like best about Cloudbolt Software?

Cloudbolt CMP has allowed us to automate system builds in a relatively short timeframe. We went from 1–2 weeks for contractors to build a VM to about 30 minutes from the moment a ticket is entered. Additionally, we have better control of what end users have access to. Instead of giving users access into our vSphere environment, we can allow console, SSH, or RDP access through Cloudbolt.

When we do need to reach out to support, the technicians are always kind and helpful. They go above and beyond to help us shape Cloudbolt into a product that is more than what comes "in the box". They have helped us every step of the way. From integrating with our on prem VMware environment to our first steps in Azure.

We have a monthly meeting with our account rep. We have an open discussion about challenges we face and Cloudbolt frequently has at least a piece of the solution. He will also work with us on pricing and timing of renewals if something unexpected happens.

It has been a pleasure working with the Cloudbolt CMP and the people working behind the interface to give me the tools to meet goals set by the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudbolt Software?

The only real downside I've experienced is initially wrapping my head around the inner workings of Cloudbolt. It can, essentially, be anything you need if you have the knowledge to make it happen. The support team is great at helping you find your way, but it can be daunting at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cloudbolt Software solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cloudbolt has reduced the amount of time it takes to build a virtual server in our environments. We've built a custom PAM solution inside Cloudbolt to drastically reduce the occurrence of duplicate IP addresses and create DNS records for the new server. In the past this would generate multiple tickets for a single server and there would be times when a ticket would stall and prevent the server from being deployed. Now, the technician receives the ticket, starts the build in Cloudbolt and choose the ticket number from a drop down in Cloubolt. Cloudbolt builds the server, closes the ticket in ServiceNow and notifies the user their system is ready. Our next step is to have ServiceNow talk directly to Cloudbolt and skip the need to have a technician start the build. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
