I think Cloud Edge has its ability to do processing and data storage work which is closer to source of data and end-users. Due to this, it reduces latency and also improve overall performance. We need such type of capability because it is beneficial for real time data processing in any applications. for example like in autonomous vehicles or IoT devices. It is just like having a powerful computer right at our doorstep that makes our work fater and efficient. Also there is more control over the security measures. In my opinion, Cloud Edge offer much advantages but it might not always be the most cost-effective solution for all use cases. For small businesses, it might be be challenging expenses for setup costs. I can say sometimes, it is same like choosing between machine with high performance ability versus a reliable machine.
