What do you like best about Closed Caption Creator?

It accommodates Inuktitut syllabics fonts. It takes care of timecode, includes a waveform timeline, has AI transcription options when I am working in English or French. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Closed Caption Creator?

There is no AI engine for transcribing Inuktitut. For an example, if I upload a video to Vimeo and set the language to English (it also does not include Inuktitut as an option) it will attempt an AI transcription that is phonetic, so it writes the Inuktitut words as best it hears them. However the AI in CCC tries to make sense of the words it hears and so ends up writing words/sentences in English that make no sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Closed Caption Creator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work with Inuktitut video translations. Since I live and work in Nunavut in a remote region, being able to work with indigenous syllabics fonts and to make the translation process easier for my translators, speeds up my workflow. I train translators to work in Closed Caption Creator software. I set up the file for them, setting up the subtitle events. They log in, connect their own copy of the media file and let me know when they are done adding the translations. No more Microsoft word files with inaccurate timecodes! Using CCC I can set up the events for the translator so that they can just log in and work on the event box translations, with all video timecode taken care of for them.
