"Flexible enough to run our whole business on it"

4.5/5

What do you like best about ClickUp?

We use ClickUp for pretty much everything. Project management, marketing launch management, content pipelines, process documentation, dashboards, and a ton of automation work. It's become the one place where all of that lives instead of being scattered across five different tools.

The thing I appreciate most is how flexible it is. We've built completely different workflows for different parts of the business in the same workspace using custom fields and views. With other tools you'd probably have to pay extra for that or set up separate accounts. ClickUp just lets you do it.

On the automation and integration side, the API and webhook support is solid enough that we've wired it into Make.com to move tasks through stages, trigger updated in our CRM, and sync data across tools without anyone doing it manually. That alone has saved us hours every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

The dashboards feel basic compared to how powerful the rest of the platform is, you hit the ceiling fast trying to build anything beyond simple status breakdowns.

Also the forms have nice field options but conditional logic is locked behind the higher tier plans which is frustrating when you're on a lower plan and need that flexibility, which means one has to upgrade just for that feature. The built in automations also run out of depth quickly for anything complex so you end up moving the logic to Make.com or Zapier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before ClickUp we had project info in one tool, client tracking in another, docs somewhere else, and automations conneceting them together across multiple platforms. Nothing talked to each other and things kept falling through the cracks. ClickUp solved that by giving us one place to manage everything from project delivery to marketing launches to process documentation. The biggest benefit is visibility. Everyone on the team can see where things stand without asking, and when something stalls it actually shows up instead of sitting in someone's inbox. It also cut down the number of tools we're paying for which helped on the cost side too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
