CleverTap is an end-to-end customer engagement platform that captures various trends and nuances of user behavior, enabling every communication is contextual and relevant for the user.

The Agents on Segments and Predictive Analytics are great enhancements that have already started giving measurable results. The Predictive capabilities have enabled us to proactively identify potential loyalists and about-to-churn users. This has improved our discovery and conversion metrics.

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

CleverTap should focus on building more industry-first AI-powered capabilities that will empower lifecycle marketing teams to focus more on experiment designing and optimizations.

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started our partnership with CleverTap to address a key business problem:
Improving conversion across abandoned carts on the back of personalized and timely nudges.

Furthermore, with CleverTap Journeys, we were able to drive cohesive and consistent omnichannel experiences at scale across email, push, SMS, and in-app notifications. Timely nudges with personalized offers prompted users to re-engage with their abandoned carts and complete their purchase, significantly increasing conversions on our platform.

**What do you like best about CleverTap?**

What I like best about CleverTap is their continuous innovation in helping us drive stronger customer engagement. They have been an integral part of enabling how we connect with our customers and shape a strong customer engagement strategy. 

We have been extensively using CleverAI’s Decisioning Engine, which powers capabilities like Predictions, Recommendations, Journey Builder Agent, Path Optimizer Agent, and Lifecycle Agent. These solutions enable us to engage customers with greater relevance and context across RCS, WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and retargeting channels, making them a core of our day-to-day marketing operations.

Recently, we expanded Recommendations to a broader geography, and the impact has been impressive. By leveraging behavioral recency and automatically excluding already-watched titles, the engine delivered highly relevant content recommendations aligned with our OTT engagement strategy.

MCP and Bring Your Own Model capabilities enable us to build stronger context, seamless connectivity, and greater flexibility in model selection, helping us adopt AI-driven workflows while maintaining enterprise-grade governance and control.

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

Some features don’t fully support practical, workable use cases yet, and a few could be refined further to create smoother, more effective user journeys.

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were facing a number of operational issues with the platform we were using previously. For instance, it lacked built-in analytics, an intuitive drag-and-drop journey builder, and more, which hampered the team’s ability to execute campaigns efficiently.

We chose CleverTap for its truly unified platform that is complete with built-in analytics, segmentation and personalization capabilities, as well as continuous experimentation that enables us to optimize our campaigns on the go. In addition to its advanced AI and agentic AI capabilities, its BYOM (Bring Your Own Model) framework has really been a game-changer as it has made it extremely easy for us to integrate our data science models directly into the CleverTap platform.

Today, we have automated journeys to effectively engage viewers across their lifecycle. For instance, once a user signs up, they are added to the onboarding journey, while users who check out the subscription page but don’t subscribe are added to the cart abandonment journey.

**What do you like best about CleverTap?**

What I like best about CleverTap is the precision it brings to customer engagement. By harnessing real-time passenger data and behavioral insights, the platform enables us to engage travelers at the right time with truly individualized communication. 

CleverTap’s Assisted Agents are what are driving these results for us. Segment Builder Agent leveraged booking details, traveler profiles, route data, and previous purchase history to create actionable micro-segments in real-time. Journey Builder Agent and prompt to email initiated automated email campaigns based on real-time indicators. Path Optimizer Agent orchestrated touch points from booking confirmation to last-minute upgrade, ensuring timely, contextual email engagement
throughout the traveler lifecycle. Creative Agent crafted emails to highlight route benefits, exclusive offers, and bundled ancillaries tailored to each traveler.

Furthermore, availability of MCP and Bring Your Own Model makes it easy for us to integrate our models directly into the CleverTap platform which would help in monitoring control, governance and trust.

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

With the complex data set for an Airline Industry, the onboarding required very advanced level of integration which consumes time and effort. 

Analytics reporting ecosystem can be improved further.

UI/UX updated and changed should be informed to the customer for ease of transition between new screens.

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the key challenges we were facing was engaging travelers within a narrow pre-travel window without causing notification fatigue. Our objective was to streamline campaign execution across millions of sends while transforming email from a transactional channel into a high-ROI revenue driver.

The CleverTap platform’s advanced segmentation, trigger-based journey design, real-time experimentation and optimization, and agentic AI capabilities – with the Decisioning Engine at the core – helped us deliver hyper-personalized experiences at scale. Today, we are able to orchestrate millions of dynamic sends without overwhelming customers or diluting message effectiveness. The concerted efforts boosted our Open rate by more than 18%, CTR ~ 8% and conversions ~ 5%.

**What do you like best about CleverTap?**

What we like best about CleverTap is its ability to combine powerful customer engagement capabilities with AI-driven intelligence. We've been leveraging CleverTap's Predictions capabilities to better understand customer behavior, identify high-intent users, and create more personalized experiences across the customer lifecycle.

CleverTap’s Assisted Agents for journey building, lifecycle optimization, copywriting, and design have helped improve the efficiency of our marketing operations. They provide intelligent recommendations that help optimize engagement strategies and customer journeys at every stage of the lifecycle, while also automating campaign launches and workflows. Together, these capabilities reduce manual effort, help our teams move faster, and improve overall campaign performance.

CleverTap's Lifecycle Agents which represent an industry-first approach to end-to-end lifecycle optimization. The ability to intelligently identify opportunities across activation, engagement, retention, and reactivation has the potential to significantly enhance how marketers manage customer relationships at scale.

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

As CleverTap continues to introduce advanced AI and Agentic capabilities, there can be a learning curve in fully understanding and operationalizing all the available features at once. 

That said, CleverTap's continuous innovation and product evolution give us confidence that the platform will continue to deliver increasing value over time. We are also looking forward to expanded participation in programs such as the Agentic Adoption Pioneers Program, which helps brands accelerate their AI and Agentic transformation journey.

CleverTap can take up more ownership to guide us how to solve a 3rd party problem and handle situations where a link is not working or not leading users to the desired landing page etc.

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest challenges we face is delivering personalized customer experiences at scale while efficiently managing engagement across multiple lifecycle stages. CleverTap helps solve this by combining predictive intelligence, customer analytics, automation, and AI-assisted decision-making within a single platform.

Predictions help us proactively identify customer intent and engagement opportunities, while Assisted Agents streamline journey optimization and campaign execution. This has helped reduce manual effort, improve targeting accuracy, and accelerate campaign deployment.

Lifecycle Agents further strengthen CleverTap's vision for Agentic customer engagement by helping marketers optimize the entire customer lifecycle through intelligent recommendations and guided actions. As a result, we are able to improve customer engagement, drive better retention outcomes, and operate more efficiently.

**What do you like best about CleverTap?**

The best thing about CleverTap is it's TesseractDB, its well structured data foundation that powers all other capabilities like unified customer profile, extensive lookback period, and dynamic segmentation and personalization. We have been using RFM model, prediction model to analyse the churn projection and align campaigns accordingly.
Furthermore, our team has also started leveraging CleverTap’s Assisted Agents to build journeys with Journey Builder Agent and generate personalized content as well as creatives for tailored outreach and engagement efforts with Creative Agent. Path Optimizer Agent made it exceptionally easy to automate running experiments and A/B testing to identify the best-performing paths for driving maximum conversions.

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

Nothing as such.. They have been very good in providing all the key features to make my retention team life easy. Their boards, funnels, trends have been very helpful in aligning our campaigns..

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us identify the possibility of a segment from the over all base by prediction model, RFM model and intellinode and once the segmentations are created all the campaigns are aligned accordingly. It helps us boost our overall retention, engagement and repeat renewal on the platform. They have been the life line for the product through which we reach out to user on a daily basis.

**What do you like best about CleverTap?**

What I like the most about CleverTap is how easy it is to use, even for someone without a technical or programming background. While there is a learning curve—as with any powerful tool—it is very manageable, and a non-technical user can quickly become proficient. This has made it much easier for me to execute campaigns and analyze performance without depending heavily on technical teams.
From a UI/UX perspective, the platform is very intuitive and well-structured. I can easily organize my workspace, build dashboards, and visualize key metrics in a matter of minutes. The ability to create analytics and reporting boards quickly has significantly improved my workflow, especially when I need to present results or make data-driven decisions.
Another major advantage is the real-time tracking of user behavior. CleverTap allows me to monitor events and user activities as they happen, giving me immediate insights into how users interact with our products. This is extremely valuable for segmentation, as it provides rich user-level data that helps create highly targeted and effective campaigns.
The message preview functionality is also very helpful. Being able to visualize messages before sending them ensures better quality and consistency in communication. On top of that, the AI-powered features for message creation are a strong differentiator. The AI not only helps with copywriting but also provides insights into expected engagement or acceptance rates, which helps optimize campaigns before launch. It even supports decisions like the best timing for message delivery.
In terms of integrations and orchestration, CleverTap makes it easy to manage multiple channels and build end-to-end user journeys. This allows for more consistent and personalized communication across touchpoints.
From a performance and ROI standpoint, the platform enables faster execution of campaigns, better segmentation, and more precise targeting, which directly translates into improved engagement and conversion rates.
Finally, the platform offers strong support for onboarding and continuous use, with resources that make it easier to learn and scale usage over time.

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

Overall, I have had a very positive experience with CleverTap and consider it a comprehensive and powerful platform. However, there are a few areas that could be improved.
One limitation I have noticed is when trying to extract more complex datasets that require combining multiple variables. In these cases, it is often necessary to rely on external tools to properly export and process the data. This can add friction to the workflow, especially when deeper analysis is required. Enhancing native capabilities for advanced data exports or cross-variable analysis within the platform would significantly improve usability.
Another point to highlight is related to Journeys performance and data accuracy. At times, I have experienced inconsistencies in reporting, where the number of users entering a step does not match the number of users receiving communications in subsequent steps. For example, a journey might show 500 users entering a step, but only 200 receiving a message, followed by a later step showing a higher number again. This can create confusion and makes it harder to fully trust or interpret campaign performance. Improving transparency and reliability in journey reporting would be very valuable.
Additionally, from a localization perspective, there is room for improvement in NPS templates for Spanish-speaking markets, particularly in Latin America. Currently, some standard elements like buttons (“Next”, “Back”) are not fully adapted into Spanish, which can lead to a less intuitive experience for users. Providing fully localized templates would greatly enhance usability and customer experience in these regions.
Addressing these areas—advanced data handling, journey reporting consistency, and localization—would further strengthen an already robust platform and improve the overall user experience.

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using CleverTap, we struggled with manual campaign execution and limited visibility into user behavior. Sending push or in-app messages required more operational effort, and segmentation was less dynamic and harder to scale.
With CleverTap, we are now able to automate end-to-end customer journeys, especially for push notifications and messaging campaigns. The Journeys feature has been a key improvement, as it allows us to design automated flows based on both user actions and inactions, creating highly personalized experiences without constant manual intervention.
This has had a direct impact on our efficiency. Execution time has been reduced by approximately 50%, as campaigns can now run automatically once configured. Instead of manually triggering communications, we can rely on real-time behaviors to activate messages.
Another major benefit is the ability to work with real-time segmentation. Thanks to live triggers and behavioral tracking, we can group users dynamically based on their activity, which allows us to deliver much more relevant and timely communications. This has improved engagement and made our campaigns more effective.
Additionally, CleverTap provides strong visibility into user interactions, allowing us to track events and understand the full customer journey. This helps us identify drop-offs, optimize flows, and continuously improve performance.
The platform also enables us to scale our marketing efforts without increasing operational complexity. What previously required multiple manual steps can now be executed through a single automated journey.

all communications (email, wa, sms, etc) channels managed in one place, high degree of customization be it targetting users, or personalizing content to target audience through linked content, automated features such as journeys and bulletins and end to end user engagement through camapigns, journeys and promos (loyaltly points)

**What do you dislike about CleverTap?**

minor UI issues when setting up camapigns, (ex, drop downlists , selection boxes jump while setting up campaigns), less filter features in content manager

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m able to set up user communication flows for multiple user behaviours using the custom rules I’ve configured. This has helped me get at least 2/3 of my subscribers to use their subscription features month after month, and to stay engaged with my content in one way or another (email, WhatsApp, push, web, or app).

The ability to bring together analytics and engagement within a single platform is really valuable. It provides deep insights into user behavioural data, and the automation and personalization features make it easy to target our users more effectively.

Whenever we roll out new features, we run into some kind of bug. We then have to raise a ticket, and the support team resolves the issue.

**What problems is CleverTap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CleverTap helps address the challenge of understanding and engaging users in a more meaningful, data-driven way. Rather than relying on scattered tools or incomplete insights, it brings customer data, behavior tracking, and campaign management together in a single platform. This makes it much easier to spot user patterns, segment audiences more accurately, and reach people with relevant messaging at the right moment. Overall, it saves a lot of time and effort while also improving campaign effectiveness and the user experience.

The platform has certain limitations, such as restricted flexibility in automating data pushes to external servers. Additionally, fallback WhatsApp messaging can sometimes fail due to Meta’s frequency constraints, which can impact delivery reliability in specific use cases.

I like the efficiency of user segmentation, which helps us in creating reliable and targeted campaigns, and this happens due to demographics and behavior 
The software creates solid and real time analytics, where it gives timely customer journey and feedback, ensuring that we make reliable decisions 
The engagement mechanisms from the application are multi channel, and this involves email, push notifications, in app messages and SMS
I appreciate the simplified automated approach the tool offers, and this makes marketing process more intuitive and successful

CleverTap has detailed and technical instructions or features and they need proper understanding to make them successful 
The process of setting campaigns sometimes feels overwhelming and this includes managing multiple clients details

CleverTap has been very resourceful in eliminating customer churn and this happens through enabling targeted marketing campaigns.
The program is designed to help users understand clients behaviors across different channels and touch points 
CleverTap is a comprehensive application, that helps in segmentation, analytics and customer engagement, which happens without involving multiple platforms 
The program has enabled us improve on clients retention, where we share personalized messages based on clients preferences 
The engagement campaigns are successfully automated by this application and this increases on efficiency 
We enjoy the clarity of getting customers insights from the previous histories and this makes it easy for us to convert them to more revenue 
The level of engagement significantly increases using CleverTap and we focus on personalized campaigns
