I like ClassDojo because it is a great way for parents, teachers, and school staff to communicate easily and parents can see how my child is doing through the school day. The reward/point system is especially motivating for so many students because it encourages positive behavior and they know they get rewards for more points. I don't like that you have to pay to see read receipts. Sometimes it's helpful to know when a teacher or parent has read something to make sure they didn't miss a message. I also don't like how sometimes it doesn't notify me of a new message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love many things about Class Dojo, but what I like best is the customizability it offers to those on all levels of its platform, whether you're the teacher, child, or guardian. ClassDojo is most helpful for communication with parents! It is like a Facebook for the classroom. I can post messages and pictures for everyone to see or send individual parent messages. The other tools on ClassDojo are also quite helpful. I use the group maker often because the students can see that the groups are "fair" due to their being chosen randomly. The points tracker is a fantastic behavior management tool. We do not use it as much in 5th grade, but when I taught 1st grade, the students worked hard to receive points. There is also an option to take away points. However, I do not use that feature. Lastly, parents can access a behavior report based on the issues you give and take away. One thing I do not like about ClassDojo is that parents can not post on the main feed. It would be beneficial if I could give my room parents privileges to post information about parties and events because they do a lot of planning and organizing for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
