This software runs smoothly and I have not noticed any significant drop in internet connection speeds. The only thing that I can think of that is a minor inconvenience is that there are frequent updates that can sometimes slow down the ability to connect to the VPN service. Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client is being utilized for multiple uses in my organization. We are using it to connect to our secure, on-premise servers with our ever-growing remote user base. In addition, we are using this software to encrypt and protect our users' data and computers when using internet connections other than those provided in our office space.
