The short amount of time required to go live with the product is a real strength. Whether you’re running a one-day event or a multi-day event, you can become operational quickly. The onboarding activities are straightforward, and you can get your team up and running by setting up your event needs and requirements in a short amount of time. You can keep it simple by showing a user how to create tickets only, or just view the information.
Demonstrating the functionality and getting colleagues and stakeholders onto the system is also quick, so you start gaining efficiencies in operations and incident management promptly and can see real impacts early on. Chronicler scales quickly as well: you can run it in a model where each department liaison has access to manage their own jobs, or you can centrally manage the tasks you assign them. This approach can scale up or down depending on the environment you’re working in, such as day shift versus night shift, or when you’re dealing with larger patron numbers.
For responding medical teams, it is very easy to manage crew response, refining response times and ensuring accurate sitreps and checklists are executed. When medical response crews are on scene, they can provide the details of the treatment provided, you can link this to a checklist to ensure that you have met the required clinical practices and guidelines for your organisation. In another scenario, the checklists can be used by security to record outcomes of evictions or other security incidents in a straightforward manner.
The greatest strength of the user interface is that is can scale based on experience and efficiency. New users can utilise it in a simple manner that enables them to create jobs, respond crews, record actions and situations and then close the incidents. More experienced users can find efficiencies in keyboard shortcuts, multiple windows, utilising multiple screen displays along with a wide range of functions to link jobs, record GPS data, send messages, request location from people needing help who don't know where they are using their phone GPS etc. The capabilities are limitless in event management, medical incident management and emergencies. I’m hard-pressed to find any functions I dislike about Chronicler. The functionality feels well refined and now covers a wide range of the areas I previously provided feedback on. In the past, I didn’t like how difficult it was to gain efficiencies as a user when I was working faster than the software UI would allow. That has been turned around: the software can now be set up by the user with multiple screens and keyboard shortcuts, which makes it much easier to keep up with a faster workflow.
