"Centralized Chrome Enterprise Management"

What do you like best about Chrome Enterprise?

The admin console is the biggest win for me. Being able to push extension policies and manage update rollouts to every managed browser from a single place is far better than configuring devices one by one. And since it’s the same Chrome everyone already knows, there’s essentially no retraining when we enable the enterprise controls. Integrating it with Google Workspace/SSO was also painless.

The fact that it’s free at the entry tier made the ROI conversation straightforward as well—real security improvements with zero license cost. The only downside I’d call out is that memory usage ramps up quickly when a lot of tabs are open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome Enterprise?

RAM usage can get pretty heavy once a lot of tabs pile up, and I’ve noticed it can slow down some of the older laptops on our team. It also took me a while to figure out which admin console policies actually mattered, since there are so many options to sift through. Overall, it works really well for us because we’re already on Google Workspace, but a few capabilities we were hoping for—like deeper DLP and context-aware access—are only available on Premium. What problems is Chrome Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

We used to manage browser settings device by device, and it got messy fast as the team grew. Now the admin console lets us handle policies and updates centrally, so onboarding and offboarding take minutes instead of turning into a whole process. SSO also worked right away through Google Workspace. It’s free at the Core tier, and we’ve gotten real security wins without having to have a budget conversation. The only caveat is that we had to check which laptops were older first, because those machines seem to feel the memory hit more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
