What I like best is how quickly they get to the real problem behind the job title. With a CFO search, everyone says they want the same things, but the win condition is always specific to the company. They have a way of pulling that out early, aligning everyone around it, and then bringing back a slate that actually fits that reality.

It also feels high trust. The process stays discreet, the communication is tight, and they don’t waste time with “interesting” candidates who are wrong for the moment. What problems is Christian & Timbers solving and how is that benefiting you?

We brought Christian & Timbers in because we were at that awkward stage where the CFO hire can either unlock the next chapter or quietly slow everything down. We had strong candidates coming in through our network, but the signals were messy. Plenty of polished operators, fewer people who could actually step into our situation and run finance like a growth function, not a reporting function.

What they solved for us was clarity and speed at the same time. They got to the real constraints fast, what the board cared about, what the CEO actually needed day to day, what “good” looked like in our numbers and our operating cadence, and then they filtered hard.
