Easy to learn, once you learn the basics of Canvas you can figure out most of the rest of the portal. **What do you dislike about Canvas LMS?** The roadmap is confusing. Can't always tell what features will be rolled out when, and when they are rolled out, they are sometimes pulled back, or partially pulled back. It's hard to hype features to faculty members when we're not sure if they're going to work, or if they will actually stay. **What problems is Canvas LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** A single tool that can be used by faculty across many different departments to meet their needs. Many of our student users have used Canvas (or another LMS) in high school, or even earlier, and already have some familiarity with the system because of that. ### 4. From start to finish, course building is simple and efficient. When you customize the look and feel of your instance, you can really feel the branding of your school all over Canvas. The built in help section is the hidden door to support and training. Overall a well built product with enough support for any user level. **What do you dislike about Canvas LMS?** Canvas analytics is very basic. It would be neat if you could see more granular data for student artifacts at the instructor level. Also the portfolio feature needs a serious upgrade. Maybe some cloud based feature where each end user can recall every submitted artifact for later referencing. If you record and stop and restart it deletes your first post. So you have to know to copy and paste the first one before recording again. Lots of active development, constantly improving and listening to feedback. **What do you dislike about Canvas LMS?** How long it takes to get anything fixed when it comes to the Google integration. Even getting a problem acknowelged can be challenging as support says anything with the Google integration is a Google problem, and Google support says anything with the integration is a canvas problem since it's the canvas platform. The Google Apps integration has been broken since December with no clear path to resolution. **What problems is Canvas LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are facilitating online education for students who cannot attend in a physical school building due to any number of challenges. When an instructor is skilled and comfortable with Canvas, the students are usually pretty happy. **What do you dislike about Canvas LMS?** I have struggled with the negative instructor response. They have recently transitioned from D2L Blackboard, and there is a good portion of instructors who are struggling to adapt Canvas to their classroom. The biggest struggle has been the Gradebook and assessment tools like Classic and New Quizzes. The main modules page is seriously fugly. Also, there are too many quirks and caveats to almost every aspect of Canvas that limit or make life more difficult than it needs to be.
