"Canopy Keeps Our CPA Firm Organized with Centralized Client and Task Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Canopy?

The most helpful aspect of Canopy is its ability to centralize client management, task tracking, document storage, and communication into one platform. As a CPA firm managing a substantial volume of individual and business clients, having a centralized system improves efficiency, accountability, and workflow visibility. The ability to assign tasks, monitor deadlines, track progress, and securely exchange documents with clients is particularly valuable during tax season. Canopy helps our team stay organized, reduces administrative inefficiencies, and provides better oversight of work across the firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canopy?

One of the biggest downsides of Canopy is that some of the reporting and workflow management capabilities could be more robust and customizable. For a growing CPA firm with multiple employees, departments, and a large client base, it is important to have detailed visibility into productivity, billing, outstanding work, and overall firm performance. While Canopy does a good job of centralizing information, certain processes still require more manual effort than we would like. Greater flexibility in reporting, more advanced automation, and the ability to customize workflows to match how an accounting firm actually operates would significantly improve the experience. Overall, Canopy is a valuable practice management platform, but there is an opportunity to make it more efficient for larger firms that need sophisticated reporting, streamlined processes, and better management-level oversight.
