"BC Insights: Great Solution and Excellent Support"

What do you like best about Business Central Insights?

We’ve been running eKnowtion’s BC Insights since migrating to Business Central. I installed the Finance and Operations bundles on the day we went live (and was surprised how simple they were install), and we haven’t looked back. Three years in, it’s become the reporting backbone of our business. Most of our users don’t even realize they’re using the solution—they simply open Excel and refresh their reports.

The Power BI apps are robust and reliable, and new reports are added regularly. A lot of our wish-list items have made their way into the product over time, and it helps fill the gaps where BC falls short. For us, that’s meant multi-environment integrations, better multi-currency visibility, and a lot of work around agings—financial, inventory, and more.

The datasets have also become the foundation for our own Power BI development and are now embedded in how we run the business. The team at eKnowtion is incredible: knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. Any small issues get resolved quickly, and I usually learn something new along the way. What do you dislike about Business Central Insights?

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. The only thing on my list is simply more of what they already do well—we keep finding new things we’d like to report on, and eKnowtion works with us to deliver a solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Business Central Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?

Business Central Insights has given our organization a true single source of truth. With everyone working from the same datasets for reporting and analysis, results stay consistent across teams and there’s far less confusion about which numbers to trust. For users who aren’t comfortable with Power BI, Excel provides an easy way to “slice and dice” the data without a steep learning curve. Scheduled refresh and the ability to subscribe to PBI reports also helps stakeholders stay on top of things quickly, without needing constant manual follow-up. On top of that, bringing in AI is unlocking next-level analytics and helping us get more value from the information we already have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
