What do you like best about Burkland Associates?

The team we work with is genuinely the best. Our day to day group: Sarah leading, Valerie, and Kavindu on the accounting side, are available, responsive, and proactive. Once we got through cleaning up our historicals, they didn't just maintain the status quo, they actively looked for ways to make our processes more efficient and flagged things we could automate to lighten the load on our side. They've been willing and able to jump into the messy, specific stuff and I feel fully supported across the board.

On bigger, higher-level questions, our fractional CFO Dorian gives us real expertise, not just an answer, but the how and why, the pros and cons, so we can actually make the decision ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Burkland Associates?

Early in our engagement the staffing fit on our account wasn't quite right for what we needed. When we raised it, Dorian advocated for us and got the right people onto our account quickly. The team we have now is a completely different experience. So the honest "dislike" is really just a bump at the start, and the way they handled it is part of why we trust them now. What problems is Burkland Associates solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I joined our company, our historicals and month-end close needed serious cleanup. Burkland got that under control and then kept going with sales tax, POS and inventory issues, and identifying places we could automate to reduce manual work. As a media/commerce business, those operational accounting details get complicated fast, and having a team that can both execute on the cleanup and advise strategically has freed us up to focus on the business.
