## BoxCast Reviews
  ### 1. Robust, Reliable Streaming with Boxcast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean D. | Administrative Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Boxcast offers a robust and reliable streaming platform

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Would like to see more live video overlays

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has created an all in one streaming platform that is not a jack of all trades and master of none. All of its features work and work well

  ### 2. Very pleased with both Boxcast devices.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We have been streaming with Boxcast since Covid. I'm pleased with the affordability of the mini-Boxcast, and are well-pleased with the multiple features of the Boxcast-Pro. We have been using one of each for several years, and are in the process of upgrading the mini to a "Pro" model, for better timing, audio control and H.265 encoding. The hardware is fantastic, but the support is exceptional. We can reach live people whenever we need assistance. They've even stayed late beyond their shifts to provide expertise. I don't believe there's an easier system out there in install, deploy and maintain than Boxcaster. I highly recommend the entire system, devices, staff and software.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I really don't have any real negatives. We have had some equipment failures on the Pro model, but we were shipped warranty devices within a couple of days, so we didn't miss any scheduled streaming sessions.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching shutins, marketing the church, helping us make disciples of all nations, reaching those confined to their locations, enabling asynchronous viewing of our services.

  ### 3. Consistent, powerful, and useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert H. | Pastor of Worship and Discipleship, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

I like the simplicity of the boxcaster device - especially the ports and symbols that light up allowing me to check my connections at a glance. I also love the software that let's me schedule livestreams.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Currently, the app has difficulty staying logged in, which is annoying but okay. Also often when I go live, I have to refresh the page in order for it to go from the broadcast starting window to where I can see the actual stream. The software struggled the most on an older iPad also.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Boxcast works as a streaming device should. I have a feeling there are more features that I do not even know about yet! I plan on using their devices and software for years.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We livestream our church service every Sunday. We also record a private video of our wednesday night rehearsals. Boxcast allows us to do both of these in a simple, user-friendly, and consistent way.

  ### 4. Easy, Total Live Stream Solution for Churches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared B. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We looked around to find the best live stream solution for our church and what we found was that Boxcast was by far the easiest. The fact that we didn't need to search and find separate kinds of encoding and decoding hardware, or set up a dedicated computer just for the live stream, was a huge win for us. It's plug-and-play. The website is easy to use and it's the only "software" you'll have to deal with. It works so easily. Something we couldn't test out before we implemented Boxcast was the stability of the live stream, and we've been very happy with the result. In the early Sundays of the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw Facebook Live, Vimeo Live, YouTube Live, and many other services crash due to the sudden increase in internet traffic- but our stream with Boxcast never went down. We've been very happy with it.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

The online dashboard is functionally very good, but using it does not feel as easy to use as the rest of the system. It's pretty utilitarian and can feel a bit overwhelming to someone who might be new to live streaming.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Of course, being able to live stream on multiple platforms (Our app, website, Facebook, and YouTube) at once is a big deal. It is very nice for our people to watch the live stream from whatever source they prefer. The embed function is very helpful in this, too. We built a chat room feature through a third party and it was so easy to embed Boxcast with that system.

  ### 5. A great Service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian N. | Production Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

I like that the interface is easy to maneuver, and the data and analytics are excellent. The abitlity to schedule and embed has been particularly useful and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

It's not something I dislike, but would offer as an area of improvement for the future would be to be able to embed in a website with a paywall, as this is key, with the ability to collect revenue generated within 24 hours would be really helpful.

Having said that, Boxcast makes it really easy to integrate with other ticketing platforms that perform this function and the nonexclusive nature of the stream has been really great for our organization.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Get to know a rep and ask them specifically for solutions to challenges you're facing. They are a great team that wants to help.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having gotten started at the beginning of the pandemic gave us the ability to provide content to remote audiences. We were able to safely shoot graduation and deliver it to parents and relatives that were eager to see the event.

We are also filling a void

  ### 6. Excellent service. Great customer support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wes M. | Senior Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

It is extremely easy to set up, integrate into a system, and use. We are able to have a team of volunteers run the equipment after a simple training session. A great product for churches. Our church is smaller, too, so not just for mega-churches. We only have about 100 people on a Sunday.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

The only challenge we sometimes have is balancing the sound in the room and the sound at home. It is not really a Boxcast problem, though. It is an issue of using a single soundboard to send the audio to both places.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Don't hesitate to reach out to them as you are planning your purchase. They are very helpful.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have drastically increased our participation. We started using Boxcast during the pandemic, but we now have a much larger congregation than we ever did before. Each Sunday we have almost exactly the same number of people joining us online as in person. This has increased our reach and our engagement.

  ### 7. Love Boxcast!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brook J. | Pastor Of City & Global Engagement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Boxcast is extremely easy to use and has been solid uptime since the beginning! It can start and stop manually or by a schedule, remembers your settings for the next stream, and has take a load of weight off my shoulders at work.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

The website interface is built to do far more than we need it to do so there are lots of other options that are available and could complicate things a bit for someone new to the system.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the pandemic in 2020, our church needed a quick and efficient way to stream live to our people. After trying Vimeo and Stream Monkey and a few others, Boxcast blew us away with their ease of use, low prices, helpful technical support, and quality streaming. I went from spending far too much time in the moment and troubleshooting later with other services to Boxcast where I could set everything ahead of time and trust that it will start and stop when I want it to and not drop frames either!

  ### 8. Boxcast: Reliable Live Streaming Source

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn T. | Program Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

I like pre-scheduling the events so it's easy for our staff to click into the event to go live with the broadcaster app. I like the ease of using the app. I like that it records the videos and editing is very easy. The new chat feature is awesome.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Having to log in multiple times. (On several devices, so this is not isolated to one device)
For the last few months, we have run into more issues than ever with the portrait/landscape orientation and with using the Broadcaster App. It logs us out after every use, regardless of saying "remember me", etc. It forces us to log in more than once including when I log into the account on the computer. Up until a few months ago, I likely would have given Boxcast a 10/10.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

It's quite easy to set up and use. Make sure you have outstanding Wifi for using the Broadcaster App. The chat feature is really fun for people to interact with you!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to offer an at-home fitness option for our members. We are not currently benefiting financially, but we are offering a service to our members that is beneficial.

  ### 9. Reliable Streaming Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

I like the reliability of the platform. If our stream connection drops Boxcast continues flowless until our connection is restored. Adding graphics is great and the overall quality is awesome. Our clients have given us a fantastic review of the quality of the picture.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I wish the cost was a tad more reasonable for the add-ons and that they could be added and removed as needed and not require a one year agreement to use some of the add-on services.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

I have suggested to several other people they should use Boxcast. I think it is a good option for a quality live stream.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to provide our customers a reliable streaming service especially due to COVID and the lack of audience members. We have found we are a leading provider in our area for live streaming because of Boxcast

  ### 10. Best Streaming Provider for Small Churches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake B. | Media Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Their sales staff and technical staff are there every step of the way. They made me feel comfortable and help with anything I needed.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Nothing to dislike about them. They have been great!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide affordable and well maintained software and hardware to help our message get out via live streaming.

  ### 11. Boxcast gear is plug and play, and web portal is the BEST!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vandemark, R. | Worship Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Ease of use along with stability of streaming. There is so little effort to learn, implement, and utilize Boxcast and this is a huge win for us as we have technical limitations with our workflow and knowledge base for livestreaming. Boxcast has anticipated this and done the work ahead of time for us.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

It's selfish, but I'd like a couple of the added costs features to be available with our current subscription....primarily the simulated live feature. Recently the billing for storage was hard to deal with, but that has been changed for the better!

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

For plug and play and incredible technical support and training, Boxcast is the solution.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending our livestream to multiple platforms at once...making video recordings...and using the boxcaster app. All these things are easy to use and very effective at meeting our needs.

  ### 12. BoxCast is exactly what we needed for our livestream services!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R. | Producer, Director of Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

BoxCast is just perfect. It's very user-friendly, easy to setup, has tons of built-in features and available upgrades, and the customer service is great. Had a few questions and issues (on my side) and they were always fast and friendly, and helped my understand and fix any issues I had.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

There's actually nothing to dislike about BoxCast, as it delivers exactly what it says it does. What I would like as additional features though, are:
- Low and ultra-low latency options (even if they would charge extra per stream/broadcast). It's just something that could be very useful with some streams. The average delay that we experience with BoxCast is about 30 - 45 seconds. Which is decent and not a problem at all, unless you want a bit more "real-time" interaction with your audience (with quizzes etc.)
- A feature to enable Full-HD / HD as default quality. In our experience, BoxCast starts streaming in a low quality for viewers, detects the internet connection and buffering, and then switches to Full-HD / HD. Although that normally goes pretty quickly, it's still something that can bother clients sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

If you're looking for a reliable, stable, high quality and easy to use platform for live streaming, BoxCast is the way to go. You don't have to believe me, ask for a trial, give it a go and find out for yourself :)

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to have a fixed monthly/yearly fee. No more surprises after a stream of how much data you used and how much you need to pay. The feature "pre-recorded" broadcast is very cool and handy. And the option to keep a live stream online as video on demand (and being able to cut/trim the stream literally minutes after the stream) is just perfect!

  ### 13. Reliable, even when our connection isn’t

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave M. | Director of nextGen Ministry, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Boxcast does a great job keeping a reliable connection going between our streaming device (AJA HELO) and their servers. Our business connection is not very reliable, even hardwired, so this is of paramount importance for us.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Honestly the only thing I think that needs improvement is the batch naming process for creating future events. My church has an event every Sunday and I'd like the stream embed to be the same code *and* be able to batch name future events with their appropriate date. It's small things like that, but this doesn't come close to negating how important and useful Boxcast is to us.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our internet connection is shoddy, but Boxcast really helps us overcome this to be able to stream reliably every week.

  ### 14. Boxcast Best Video Choice for Church Livestreaming

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bonnie A. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

BoxCast is Easy to Use!
The Support has always been responsive.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

We have not experienced a downside to live streaming with BoxCast.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

I would absolutely recommend any other church that is interested in live stream ministry to use BoxCast. Call and talk directly to Sales and Support. They will be most helpful with basic questions and technical specifications.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a reliable way to expand our outreach to our church members and our community. Boxcast has been that solution for us since 2016.
Our ability to continue to be a beacon of hope in the midst of the covid shutdowns in 2020 was established. We never missed a Sunday of ministry because we had already established our online presence through Boxcast years prior.

  ### 15. Great Step-Up in Broadcasting!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alec A. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Love the dedicated encoder and the ease of scheduling the streams. The newly added chat function is exciting, even though we have yet to use it. Love the ease of embedding.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

It took a while to get the tech side of things figured out - the bandwidth, bitrate, etc. That could be due to our internet connections. Would love to see Boxcast come out of the package set up for success.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

For this price point, we have been overwhelmed with the success of Boxcast.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had been live-streaming using only the computer as an encoder - that caused slow, laggy streams and a big load on our computers. We have seen greatly increased reliability now for our streams.

  ### 16. Excellent Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liza B. | Service Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We stream our full service on Boxcast (Player embedded on our website). Even with the CCLI license and our music teams playing songs live, we were getting flagged on YouTube for copyright infringement. We switched to Boxcast and haven't looked back. Excellent customer service

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Boxcast doesn't have a lot of storage capacity so we store the sermon portion of our service on Youtube. We don't keep the full service unless it's unique and then we download and store it.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Any challenges we've come across were quickly resolved with Boxcast Customer Service. Having the Boxcast player embedded on our site has allowed us to direct people directly to our homepage where they can find additional information about us! Perfect!

  ### 17. Boxcast is one of the best decisions our church ever made :)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren C. | Pastor's Wife :). Also, VP/Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Very user-friendly right out of the box. Very little set-up required. But, BEST is the customer service! They have been incredibly helpful and gracious and kind! I can't say enough good things about Boxcast. A friend from another church needed help with his streaming and I immediately said, "BOXCAST!!!"

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I really can't think of anything. It syncs our audio and video perfectly. Maybe having a bit more audio control? But, they've walked me through ways to even improve this, so, no complaints!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can stream with multiple cameras (we use 4) at once. We can stream live on our website, youtube, and facebook. We can stream practices and then delete them. Very fast and very efficient!

  ### 18. BoxCast has simplified our church streaming process!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve W. | Technology & Production Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

It has removed a bunch of pain points in our church streaming process. We used to have a volunteer man a streaming station to make sure all of our streaming platforms were up and going.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I wish the Multisite Player had better controls and a different way to access the interface. I would rather the viewer pop out of the player than the controls.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

The BoxCast support is AMAZING. They are super helpful and are willing to go above and beyond.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use to have constant troubles getting all of our platforms to work on any given weekend. BoxCast has made it as simple as a scheduling service and it takes care of the rest.

  ### 19. BoxCast for Athletics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David L. | Sports Information Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

The simplicity of BoxCast is its best selling point. All you need is a camera, internet and power and you're good to go. The BoxCaster itself is small (slightly larger than a deck of cards) and easy to transport. Set up is easy, and we use a single camera to produce live streams for all our home events. We also utilize the manual scoreboard feature on all our broadcasts, and when streams go live they automatically get shared to our social channels. They also offer an app for mobile devices, which we've used in a pinch when multiple events were going and we were short a camera. We've been a customer since 2013 and have never run into an issue, and customer service is top-notch.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Currently BoxCast allows for overlays for things like logos and sponsors. However, there are no graphics packages that can be used for stats, nor is there an option for replays.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

BoxCast is a good starting point for those who want to get into live streaming, especially if you have little to no background on the subject.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With very little initial investment, we were able to begin streaming home events with the equipment we already had on campus. Doing so has helped us reach several audiences, including parents, alumni, donors and potential recruits. Over the years we've added new pieces of equipment to improve our broadcasts (cameras/audio mixer/microphones).

  ### 20. Very easy to use, easy to setup and tech support is good.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Ease of use and how easy it was to set up and operate. The BoxCast system allowed up to embed the stream directly onto our website alleviating the need for us to post the video on FaceBook and YouTube making us look more professional. Tech support is always available when we have any questions. We have been very please with our experience with BoxCast.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

No simple video editing so we can insert slides or short videos. Yes, there is other software but it would be nice to have a Boxcast incorporate some simple editing software into the current product.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Depending on your setup the BoxCaster itself is plug and play. You may have to do some homework on your specific camera and sound setup to get the data to the BoxCaster. It is not that hard and we are not video gurus at our church, but we were able to get this up and running quickly.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to reach our homebound parishioners, and share funerals, baptisms, weddings and other special Masses. This keeps our parishioners connected to the church and lets them know we care about them and their needs.

  ### 21. BobCast is Great for Churches!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike k. | Director of Creative Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We can schedule broadcasts for different services and events that we live stream for our congregants. BoxCast is easy to navigate on the backend, and it's easy to embed on our church's website too.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

There is not a whole lot to dislike regarding the interface and usability. There are quite a few steps to set things up, but that's to be expected!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BoxCast is a great tool to help us, minister, to those who cannot come to worship in person due to sickness or other hinderances. It's a crazy world we live in, but BoxCast has helped us gain a sense of normalcy for our congregants at home.

  ### 22. BoxCast has been great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Picture quality and support. Control of streaming from the app on my phone helps me start/stop streams even when I'm not near the control booth.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I didn't find them sooner. I wish the analytics had more details as far as where my subscribers were located based on their IP.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

There may be other cheaper streaming services out there but from my experience, you won't find better stream quality, ease of use, or support and sales that are knowledgeable and care as much as BoxCast.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous streaming provider had zero support and picture quality was lacking. The flexibility and control with app on my phone is great.

  ### 23. Boxcast provides excellent service and tremendous value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris K. | Pastor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

I have been astounded by Boxcast's level of customer service. They are reliable, and even responded within minutes of a request for service on a weekend. I can't say enough about how they have been helpful and consistently aware of our needs.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

There really has been nothing missing from my experience. The products have always worked on time and provided superior performance.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

This is an elegant, and easy to use solution.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boxcast enabled our congregation to say viable during the pandemic. They provided a simple solution that has been effective at broadening our live streaming experience with minimal technical knowledge on our side.

  ### 24. Best streaming solution for Churches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will S. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We here at New Creation517 love this app and how simple it is to broadcast our livesrtream. It is a simple as scheuling a broadcst and, selecting where you want to stream and then start xtreaming at the time you set. It is just that simple.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

One of the things that we do not like about the Boxcast live stream setup is not having the ability to have an instant go-live button. Therefore, if you have an issue with time, and you need to set-up a last minute live stream, you can't just hit a Go-Live button, you have to schedule a broadcastinstead.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

I would recommed Boxcast for all churches for their live streaming options. I know that there are a lot og other live streaming option, but for the money i feel that Boxcast gives you the best quality, tech support, and latest technology for live-streaming.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that Boxcast is helping us solve is the ability to produce a quality live broadcast our message about Jesus to all our social platforms and on our website for poeple to hear and see.

  ### 25. Steady Streamer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

I love the fact that I have no problems streaming and no problem dealing with the systems.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Nothing that I dislike but I have to type something in this form or it wont take it. Bad Form

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a reliable streaming service that will be there with high quality streams and no surprises. I was with Vimeo who had high quality but they are full of unwelcomed surprises. Especially those who think they have an Unlimited account with Vimeo. Boxcast does not lie to its customers to get new business and that was what I was looking for.

  ### 26. Great product, fair pricing, excellent service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clovis L. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

My customer rep is very helpful. The service works as it should and the analytics seem fairly accurate. I have yet to see anything that didn't work the way it was supposed to. Pricing is more than some other services, but nothing outrageous like vimeo, brightcove, etc.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

My only complaint is that we can't add services for a single month. All of the services require a year-long contract, so if I need captioning (for example) for a single client they typically ask us to look into a different solution rather than a year-long price for a single event.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We provide live streaming for many clients. The best benefit is that we can rely on the service to work without issues.

  ### 27. A happy relationship

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

The support team are exceptionally helpful, friendly and efficient.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

There is nothing I dislike about Boxcast. I guess it's pricier than some; but it seems good value to me.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am live streaming several church services each day.

  ### 28. Good product, GREAT tech support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Boxcast is easy to use, and if there's ever a problem, their Tech Support is sensational.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I can't think of anything negative off the top of my head.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've had multiple questions on live streaming and equipment. BoxCast has helped us solve issues during and before events, and they've even helped us choose equipment we need to make our shows better.

**Official Response from Jeff Sturgeon:**

> Thank you for the review.

  ### 29. St. Ed's - BoxCast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We began live streaming additional events out of necessity. Now our community has grown to really enjoy them. They have been a way to reach additional populations within our community and a vital tool to connect our alums, families and friends to St. Ed's. BoxCast has made the process as smooth as possible, with a variety of options available. Their flexibility and responsiveness is truly appreciated.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

We are occasionally limited by the venue's internet source. Some are better than others, and I realize that this is not an issue on BoxCast end... but it is the one drawback to some of our live streams.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Figure out how your community will most use BoxCast. Be very intentional with how you set up channels and promote the product.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While we could not have fans in attendance, BoxCast allowed us to deliver St. Ed's athletics to our community. We reached far more people than we ever imagined. In doing so we have been able to promote events, fundraisers, obtain sponsorships, and reintroduce all that St. Ed's is currently doing with our extended community.
If anything... so many have become accustomed to watching games from the comfort of their homes... I wish more would come back to fill the stands in person!

  ### 30. Excellent Customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We have been a customer of BoxCast since they purchased Sunday Streams. The transition was seamless and the service we have received has been exemplary. We had several opportunities to explore additional features for our stream and the willingness of the BoCast staff to work with us as we went through trials of upgrades was beyond our expectations. When we chose not to take advantage of some upgrades we were not pressured to take them on.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Nothing. The product is easy to use with a very quick learning curve. Valuable when dealing with volunteers with no technical background.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are streaming to multiple platforms and the BoxCast System makes it possible for volunteers with little or no technical knowledge to operate our run our stream.

  ### 31. Boxcast for HS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Boxcast has a simple layout making it easy for teachers or students to update streams, check analytics, etc. It is easy to update from any computer or mobile device.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Only being able to run two streams at the same time with the lower subscription tiers. Being a high school, we often have a limited budget so the demand for access to all sports being streamed is an issue when we have to pick and choose who makes the cut on any given night especially in the spring when there could be 3-4 games all happening at the same time.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to centralize where our livestreams are housed and makes it very easy for the viewing public to access our streams from anywhere. The analytics provided will be helpful in the near future as we are getting ready for sponsorships.

  ### 32. Functional and reliable system but presents on the user end as outdated

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

That it is its own system with an encoder and software for all the controls included in one package. We LOVE the automation, pre-scheduling and ability to edit the broadcast in real-time and app feature. Also, it is highly reliable. We haven't had many issues with it.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

The user-end of the stream is outdated and presents poorly to our audience. The "content" area below the video has outdated text font and appears outdated. We don't like that we can't change much about how that area presents. Also, we embed the channel to our website so the "related videos" portion presents poorly to our audience as well. What we really want is visually appealing, updated code that we can embed in our website so the live stream looks excellent. That we can have a dynamic giving button, that the text font and placement we could manipulate as needed. Also, we would love a user-friendly button that a user can click to access the notes. Our pretty please request would be to be able to embed or partner with an online note-taking system digitally. In addition, we would like to have code to embed on our homepage so when there is a live video the banner would say "Watch Now Live". The last thing we don't like is our Pro system is VERY noisy. It is in an open space so is ventilated correctly. The fan is loud enough to be heard from the front of our worship center from its location in the back in the tech booth.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

BoxCast software and hardware is a great system to get you started. The drawback is it looks visually outdated to your audience and you don't have any editing controls over those areas. Otherwise, a reliable easy-to-use system. Additionally, it doesn't integrate with your church app or website in a dynamic way that could present "Watch Now Live" banners.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed easy access online and through TV apps to our audience.

  ### 33. Streaming Uninterrupted

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** lee a. | it director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Great and responsive support; easy to use; no problem streaming. always up! multiple destinations to simultaneously cast to (and our Boxcast rep, Colleen is great!)

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

no downsides at all, Boxcast has been great

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ran from another streaming service we used to escape their downtime and fled to Boxcast. We have never regretted the move! Boxcast has been easy to use, quick to respond to our questions, and uninterrupted podcast, broadcast, and streaming/

  ### 34. Wonderful tool for our church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer T. | Education Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We can schedule up to a year's worth of upcoming services. It's easy to use. It's easy to edit.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

It could be useful for our volunteers who run the computer if something popped up when our service ends as a reminder to turn the Livestream off at that time.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Congregants who are on vacation or those with family living out of town are now able to watch our service should they choose to.

  ### 35. Easy to use with great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Boxcast support is very responsive and is great to work with if issues arise. My account manager is always willing to talk through our live stream strategy and workflow to help us get the best for our viewers. The video quality is great and automating the start of the stream make my job easy.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

When using Boxcast, there is no software solution that takes advantage of their Boxcast Flow protocols. So you are limited to using their hardware to use Boxcast Flow.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boxcast helps our stream stay online during inconsistent internet issues. It also helps us to distribute to multiple destinations at an affordable price when compared to competitors.

  ### 36. Straightforward

Church livestreaming

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Give them a try, you will not regret it!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BoxCast makes live streaming so easy! It integrated seamlessly with ProPresenter 7 which makes our live stream look so professional. My Production Team is all volunteers and BoxCast along with Pro7 just works seamlessly for them. It just makes Sundays easier!

  ### 38. A valuable asset to our church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis W. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

We love the scheduling flexibility and the opportunity to do simulated live broadcasts. The Boxcast player is also integral to us.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

We have had some bad luck using the boxcaster encoder with our set up. It would be nicer to get that working.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boxcast has made it easier for us to stream to multiple places and we can meet people where they are digitally that way.

  ### 39. Great Product; Great Service

**Reviewed by:** Dan C. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022

Boxcast is easy to use and provides a quality livestream of our worship services.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Nothing! It's all good! Seriously, the service is good and so is the product.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

If you are a church, this is pretty much a one stop shopping experience

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems. We have been able to produce a high-quality livestream of our worship service without needing to learn more than we can.

  ### 40. Easy to use, cost effective, great customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

There are many things to like about BoxCast, but I would say that the thing that won me over was the ease of use of their hardware. Having a one-stop-shop of encoding hardware combined with hardware to push the stream to the cloud, it makes storage, setup and maintenance very easy.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I remain incredibly frustrated--and I believe I've communicated this with the appropriate people--that BoxCast does not currently integrate with Nevco scoreboards. This is incredibly important to me, but what appears to be a fraught relationship between BoxCast and Nevco has stalled this initiative.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think BoxCast helped us realize a market for creating revenue off our streaming while still providing free access--albeit in standard definition--for those who don't want to pay for an HD upgrade.

  ### 41. Great Service / Great People!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | Campus Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I haven't found anything I am dissatisfied with so far.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Boxcast Support is incredible and these guys can help you get set up and work through any problems you may face!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We initially had a streaming service that had limited options. When Boxcast merged they opened the doors to so many options for us.

  ### 42. Excellent Product AND Excellent Customer Service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler W. | Youth pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Before using Boxcast, I had NO live streaming experience whatsoever. They make it incredibly easy to produce professional-quality live streams. I've also had to contact customer support a few times for issues that came up, and every time they stay on the phone until a solution is reached. Great company!

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

It's a little expensive for our context. However, the expense so far has been worth it for us.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BoxCast helps us produce top-quality live streams of our church services on multiple platforms with ease.

  ### 43. We Love Boxcast

No technical difficulties notice when something messes up

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

All around it has been a great asset to our church.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 44. Great product, great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricky L. | VP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The platform works well. It is very stable. Best of all is the customer service. They are there when you need them and only a call away. Sales support is top shelf

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Nothing. Only have good things to say. Have tried other platforms and this is "hands down" the best for the support, service and money

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

It is worth it.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stability has been solved, ease of use of the system. Switching between devices is easy.

  ### 45. Boxcast has been essential in getting our services online!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian B. | Music Worship Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

The most helpful thing about Boxcast is that it makes live-streaming incredibly simple. It is plug-and-play! Plus, its online user interface is also easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Honestly, our church has been using it for over two years, and I cannot think of one thing I dislike about Boxcast. I have looked at several other Livestream services, and they do not even come close to Boxcast's simple ease of use.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boxcast provides you with hardware that handles all the encoding needed to Livestream effectively. Additionally, being able to broadcast on multiple social media platforms at once is a huge benefit!

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Great customer service and easy integration to websites and social platforms

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

Extra storage beyond the 90 days is a bit too expensive for me

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Affordable, reliable, easy to use, easy to set up and rollout

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for live-streaming to one place that "re-streams" to multiple destinations

  ### 47. BoxCast is the best!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryant P. | Worship Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

Their customer support is amazing. They are always ready to help.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

I haven't had any problems with BoxCast. They are continually improving!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't had any problems. We have been able to engage people much more easily by scheduling our broadcasts.

  ### 48. Excellent experience with Boxcast

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Live support is outstanding; I'm not technically inclined, but the guy who helped set up the program was incredibly helpful, was able to successfully walk me through some issues

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

The cost is a little high; we have a complicated situation, needing to stream from two locations, sometimes concurrently.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Don't be afraid to ask for help.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to reach out to community members who have a computer and aren't able to get out of the house.

  ### 49. Flawless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

It just works, no strings attached. We have not had one single issue with Boxcast...zero. Coming from another streaming provider that had many issues, Boxcast has been a breath of fresh air for us!

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

We haven't noticed anything that's missing or needs updating. Tech Support has always been more than helpful and very fast!

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once everything is scheduled, we can forget about having to push our content out to all of the different platforms. Boxcast does that for us!

  ### 50. Outstanding Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about BoxCast?**

If I ever have an issue, I can request assistance via text, email, or phone call.

**What do you dislike about BoxCast?**

We would like to upgrade to the Boxcaster Pro, but the price is a bit high.

**Recommendations to others considering BoxCast:**

Review the YouTube videos and the various plans that they offer. There are TONS of videos out there from them that detail how Boxcaster can save you time.

**What problems is BoxCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to simulcast to various platforms with little effort.

**Official Response from Jeff Sturgeon:**

> Thanks for the review. We did just recently lower the price of the BoxCaster Pro, you may want to check it out.
