The single appointment (that I have been using so far for my consultation business) mode responds to the natural needs of consulting operations: there should be public, bookable appointments; there should be no double bookings; there should be preparation time; there should be a minimum forecast; there should be statuses; notifications should be sent out; and the client (I mean my client) should not fill out an uncertain contact form, but book a real appointment. Bookcessful was designed for waiting lists, so the admin interface is a bit complicated at first. I'll note that this is not a tragedy. If you have an individual consultation, it can still be handled conveniently, you just don't have to look at the group booking method, so as not to be bothered.
