What do you like best about Book Collector Pro?

The best part of this software is the barcode scanner, which is connected to a VERY thorough database, so for most books that have a barcode on them you can just hold them up to the camera and the info about the book automatically gets filled in! Likewise you can manually enter ISBN numbers (if the book has one). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Book Collector Pro?

It's difficult to make small tweaks in bulk, or small tweaks in a particular selected series of entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Book Collector Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am an avid amateur book collector with a pretty sizeable personal collection of books (over 1000 and I live in a small apartment and move a lot!) so keeping track of my books - how many I have, what and where they are, and especially how much they are worth - is really important to me. I would NEVER loan out books before I got this software; now I feel a lot safer loaning books out because I can track exactly who has them. And I know if anything ever happened to my collection (especially during those periods when they are in storage in non-climate-controlled environments) I have the ability to account for them and make an insurance claim if it ever came to that.
