My favorite things about the Apricot database are the abilities to quickly create your own forms and reports based on the data you wish to capture. The drag and drop functions for building forms and creating reports makes it super easy to quickly build a report, run the report, and analyze the results of your data. Importing large amounts of data can be challenging, and some of the steps are not easily explained in the help forums. Some of the functions like linking, can be somewhat complicated and difficult to use/understand from a beginner's perspective. It's been challenging, at times, to get questions answered/concepts explained via forums and/or customer service people via chat. Also, the costs go up quite a lot each year that you renew your subscription, even if your usage not drastically change. Our organization is seeking alternative database options because of the major cost increases with each renewal, we feel the cost is beginning to outweigh the benefit for our organization. Ensure that someone in your organization plans to remain long-term and maintain the database as an Administrator. What problems is Bonterra Apricot solving and how is that benefiting you? We are moving data from paper to online storage, and have greater ability to analyze the results of our work quickly. Multiple staff members have the ability to enter and/or access data from their personal computers. We can measure the effectiveness of our organization, on a regular basis which allows us to make adjustments and set organizational goals based on these measurable outcomes.
