I like that Bonterra Apricot is mostly intuitive, especially with form setup and reporting being relatively simple compared to other platforms. The email trigger feature is particularly useful for automating alerts and prompts both internally and externally. It's great for capturing feedback and alerting specific staff about special needs of program participants. As a data analyst, I find it especially helpful for notifying me when there's a data integrity problem to correct quickly. I have been asking for a few years now, and unfortunately this feature has not been implemented, but I would benefit from a reporting function that could pull data from other sections of the report and aggregate them in a new section in the Core Reporting feature. I do realize that there is an upgraded membership level that would provide greater flexibility with reporting output, but our organization is incredibly small, cash-strapped, non-revenue generating, and we do not need all the other features that come with an upgraded membership. One of our main needs is to be able to report on all people served, but if you try to build that in one report section, the report will time out. Reports can sometimes be slow to load, as can the "view document folder" for individual profiles. It would be great if those pages were snappier, but it's not a big enough barrier to make us want to find alternative platforms. I use Bonterra Apricot to produce service reports, but then I need to use Excel to combine the data and deduplicate it. I cannot get the outputs I need for our grant funders from the Core Reporting feature alone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
