"Bolt.new Turns Plain-English Ideas into Working Web Apps in Minutes"

5/5

What do you like best about Bolt.new?

What I like most about Bolt.new is how quickly it can turn an idea into a working web application. I can describe the features I want in plain English, and within minutes it generates a clean project structure along with the UI and core functionality. It also integrates smoothly with modern tools like Firebase, and it’s easy to iterate by refining prompts rather than rewriting code from scratch. As someone who builds prototypes and college projects, it has noticeably reduced my development time while still giving me the flexibility to customize the application whenever I need to. What do you dislike about Bolt.new?

One drawback of Bolt.new is that token usage can climb quickly on larger projects or after several iterations, which can make the pricing feel steep for frequent users. At times, the AI also needs multiple prompts to produce exactly what I’m looking for, and that ends up consuming even more tokens. Even though it’s excellent for rapid prototyping, I’d really like clearer, more transparent token tracking, better optimization for longer conversations, and more affordable pricing tiers for developers and students building complex applications. What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bolt.new solves the challenge of turning ideas into functional web applications without spending hours on project setup or writing boilerplate code. It lets me build prototypes, dashboards, and full-stack applications much faster by generating code from simple prompts. This has saved me a significant amount of development time and helps me focus on refining features and solving real problems, rather than getting stuck in repetitive coding. It’s especially useful when I need to test ideas quickly or finish projects under tight deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
