## Bold Reports Reviews
  ### 1. Fast, Flexible & Fantastic Value!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew R. | Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

Syncfusion Bold Reports Enterprise (on-premises/self-hosted) has delivered fantastic reporting productivity and excellent value for money within a simple deployment, with well-considered features and a sensible design, whilst also being without hidden costs. Highlights have included excellent usability, easy integrations, quick existing RDL import, an approach to recyclable data which regular users can leverage, a simple API for insights into its own use, excellent documentation and a helpful ETL pipeline tool in addition. The Product Team, Support Team and our dedicated Account Manager have all been stellar and are appreciated. Aside from Bold’s own merits, should you dislike rival products due to their cloud-only options, or your organisation is at a scale otherwise unfortunate for the arbitrary and cynical licensing thresholds those other products impose, do instead seriously consider Bold Reports Enterprise for a refreshing alternative.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

When compared with competitor’s offerings, Syncfusion’s Bold product being fair, flexible and cost-effective renders any ‘dislikes’ trivial. For self-hosting, just spec your deployment method with ample resources for smooth running.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports simplifies and makes genuinely accessible cost-effective on-premises site-wide reporting.

  ### 2. Impressive UI Simplifies Report Creation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

I find the user interface of Bold Reports to be impressive compared to tools like Microsoft and Visual Studio's add-on for SQL Server Report Server, which can be quite tedious. The interface makes it much easier to make changes, and that's a key reason why I continue to use it. The initial setup was really easy because of the 30-day free trial, and my subscription was automatically turned on with little effort. I'm very happy with how it all worked, especially since the interface is excellent compared to another, more complicated product I considered.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

There were some user interface issues in the beginning when I would drag a text box around. If it inadvertently got into a table, there was no way for me to get it back out of there. But I think that's been corrected.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bold Reports for its impressive user interface, which is less tedious compared to Microsoft and Visual Studio tools. It simplifies creating SQL Server reports, making changes much easier.

  ### 3. Effortless Report Building with a User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

I like that Bold Reports is simple to use and makes it easy to build and share reports without much setup. The interface is clear, and most features work as expected.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

Some features feel limited, and certain tasks require extra steps that could be more streamlined. Performance can be a bit slow at times when loading larger reports.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports helps centralize our reporting in one place and makes it easier to generate and share dashboards. It saves time and improves visibility into our data.

  ### 4. Flexible, Easy Embedding with Reliable Enterprise Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prasad P. | Head of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

Flexible and easy embedding. It supports multiple data sources, making it a reliable enterprise reporting solution.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

It can be hard to learn at first; the interface isn’t always very user-friendly, large reports can be slow unless properly tuned, and some customizations require technical help rather than being easy for business users.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports solves the problem of automated report generation and scheduling, which was a key requirement for us. While the solution ultimately met our needs and is beneficial, it took longer than expected to be delivered, causing some delay before we could fully benefit from the feature.

  ### 5. Easy, Cost-Effective Reporting Solution for Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sayad H. | Head of IT Infrastructure, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

Bold Reports is easy to use and feels straightforward for both admins and end users. It’s also a cost-effective option compared to other reporting tools, which makes it easier to justify and scale across the organization.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

The product still feels incomplete. There are important features that are either missing or still in development or testing. The support experience also isn’t as strong as it should be, which slows things down when we need help.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports gives us a single place for analytics after moving away from our old EDW. It simplifies how we build and share reports, and it cuts down on the overhead we used to deal with. Our teams get faster access to the data they need, and the overall setup is easier to manage.

  ### 6. Effortless Setup, Empowering Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad M. | Chief Information Officer

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

I find Bold Reports to be very easy to use, which is a significant advantage for me and my team. Its user-friendly interface means I can confidently give it to regular users to modify reports, something we wouldn't consider doing with Access or SSRS. The ease of use is not just about operating the system; Bold Reports is also very easy to set up, making the initial adoption process smooth and stress-free. Additionally, it effectively serves as our primary reporting tool for recurring static reports. The integration with other tools such as SQL Server, our claims software, and Microsoft Fabric works well, enhancing the overall functionality and efficiency. I'm particularly impressed with the way Bold Reports eliminates the need for complex infrastructure, unlike Access, thereby reducing cost and operational complexity. My positive experience is reflected in my likelihood to recommend Bold Reports to a friend or colleague, which I rate at 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

Nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports solves VPN data retrieval issues, reducing infrastructure costs. It's user-friendly, allowing regular users to modify reports without hesitation, unlike Access or SSRS.

  ### 7. Bold Reports Review: Powerful, Flexible, and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** System A. | System Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

Bold Reports offers an intuitive interface for designing and delivering interactive, paginated reports. What I like best is its seamless integration with various data sources, including SQL Server, REST APIs, and cloud storage. The drag-and-drop report designer, embedded report viewer, and export options (PDF, Excel, Word) make it easy to build and share insights with end users. It’s especially useful for embedding reports into our applications with minimal coding

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

While Bold Reports is feature-rich and highly functional, the initial setup and configuration—especially for self-hosted deployments—can be a bit complex and time-consuming. Additionally, documentation around advanced customization and embedding scenarios could be more detailed. Performance may also need tuning when handling large datasets or complex visualizations

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports helps us streamline report generation and distribution by providing a centralized, user-friendly platform for designing, scheduling, and embedding reports. It solves the challenge of creating dynamic, paginated reports from multiple data sources without heavy development effort. This has significantly reduced our dependency on manual reporting processes, improved decision-making with real-time insights, and enhanced the reporting capabilities in our customer-facing applications

  ### 8. Custom Reports, Easy Interface, and Smooth Onboarding Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

The custom report building feature, the easy to use interface, flexible pricing plans, and great support for onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

Limited flexibility when it comes to gradual onboarding of users/customers

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The building customized reports by the customers, drastically reduces the engineering team development and maintenance effort

  ### 9. Bold Reports provides a comprehensive set of reporting tools that support interactive reports.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishnu P. | Quality Assurance Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

I like Bold Reports for its intuitive drag-and-drop designer that simplifies report creation. Its wide data source support and seamless integration make it highly flexible for various applications. The interactive viewer and export options add great value for end-users.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

There’s nothing to dislike about Bold Reports as it offers a smooth and user-friendly experience. The features are well-documented and perform consistently across different environments. Its reliability and flexibility make it a dependable reporting solution.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bold Reports addresses the need for centralized, efficient, and customizable reporting by supporting various data sources and offering a user-friendly design interface. It streamlines report creation, scheduling, and sharing, reducing manual effort and improving data accessibility. As a tester, it benefits me by providing a stable platform to validate data accuracy, UI behavior, and report performance—all in one integrated environment.

  ### 10. Bold Reports: A Powerful and User-Friendly Reporting Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael D. | SSRS Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Bold Reports?**

We use Azure to host several different Bold Reports environments for dev, test, and production purposes.
The Bold Reports UI is very user friendly, and navigation between pages is reasonably responsive.

For us, we use Visual Studio to build all datasets and reports.
Those files are then seamlessly imported to the bold Reports environment.
My title with our company is a SSRS Developer, so I work in Visual Studio and Bold Reports every day.

The Bold Reports support team is great. And even with time difference, they've been very helpful in resolving any and all issues we may have reported.
They've also been great at considering/implementing new feature requests that we may have requested along the way.

We've had the embedded application integrated into our custom software ever since SyncFusion. With each update received it's only gotten better. Then, when the Bold Reports embedded application was incorporated, the overall look, performance, and functionality just skyrocketed.
Our client-base has reflected very positively on its ease of use and overall look/performance.

The scheduler is another heavily used feature that we've also integrated into our custom software.
There were some bumps in the road in getting it to work efficiently, but the support team with really great is getting any issues we were facing resolved.
Now our clients are able to schedule their own report in our software and has been running very well thus far.

Another great quality is that new features and performance improvements are being released on a regular basis.
This is always great for the end user.

So, our overall experience with Bold Reports has been great.

**What do you dislike about Bold Reports?**

There isn't very much to dislike about the Bold Reports experience.

But, probably the biggest area needing improvement deals with the system logs.
There have been a few instances where a more detailed error message would've been very helpful, but the logs only produced a generic type of error message.
This has been requested in the past so I believe that is something they're working on to improve.

But, for how we use the system, there's really not much else that can be really labeled as a dislike.

**What problems is Bold Reports solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated previously, we've integrated the embedded application into our custom software.
This allowed us to create a vast reporting library that our clients on a daily bases.
This assists them in generating reporting data specific to their environment and have been very satisfied with the functionality so far.

This also allowed us to integrate the scheduler API.
Our clients are now able to schedule their own reports.
Those reports are now being emailed to the users automatically without the need for manual execution.
That is a feature our clients have been extremely satisfied with.
