What I like best about BLOOM 3B is that it gives noticeably better text-generation quality than the smaller BLOOM models while still being relatively manageable to run. It’s useful for multilingual text generation and experimenting with different NLP tasks, especially when I want something more capable than a 1B-scale model without jumping to a much larger model. The main thing I dislike about BLOOM 3B is that it can still struggle with complex prompts and sometimes produces repetitive or inconsistent responses. The quality is decent for basic text generation, but it doesn’t always match the accuracy and reasoning of newer, larger models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
