"Revolutionized Our 3D Modeling Workflow"

5/5

What do you like best about Blender?

I like how fast you can go from an idea to a model and then put it into a game engine. Blender offers the freedom to fix anything from the weights, the bones, the UVs, to the topology. I have the ability to mirror geometry, weights, and animations, and I really like the sculpting tools for blocking out shapes. Blender provides a very clean export pipe for Unity and Unreal Engine. It never limits you, and the community and the amount of tutorials is massive. There's a lot of really nice add-ons, and I like the ability of having add-ons and being able to do everything in one app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

It's got a pretty steep learning curve. There's a lot to it and a lot of different things to learn. There could be cleaner FBX export settings, as setting up exports can be challenging. The controls are a little different compared to most editors. Better default weight painting tools are needed due to weight transfer and bone heat errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Blender to create custom 3D models without needing expensive 3D software licenses. It solves problems like retopology, UV unwrapping, rigging, and exporting. Blender supports many files and offers VFX simulations, effectively replacing a costly tool pipeline for game development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
