## About Bitwarden
Bitwarden is an open source password manager for individuals, teams, and enterprise organizations. Ranked first in Enterprise User Satisfaction on the G2 Enterprise Grid for eleven consecutive quarters, Bitwarden stores, generates, autofills, and shares credentials and passkeys using end-to-end AES-256 bit encryption. Bitwarden is a zero-knowledge encryption solution, meaning only the user can access vault data. The Bitwarden source code is publicly available on GitHub and undergoes regular third-party security audits, covering penetration testing, cryptographic analysis, and source code review. Bitwarden is SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and Data Privacy Framework (DPF) compliant. Manage passwords and passkeys - Generate and store strong, unique passwords and passkeys, saved securely across unlimited devices. - Access credentials from anywhere, on any device - Bitwarden offers multiple client options including desktop, mobile, browser, web, and command-line interface (CLI). - Autofill makes it fast and secure to seamlessly log in to websites and apps across devices. Monitor and reduce credential risk - Real-time vault health alerts surface weak, reused, or exposed passwords - Bitwarden Access Intelligence identifies shadow IT and at-risk credentials across an organization, with guided remediation workflows at scale. - Turn on multifactor authentication (MFA) for vault login using a time-based one-time password (TOTP) app or security key. The standalone Bitwarden Authenticator app also generates TOTP codes for any account or service that supports authenticator-based two-factor authentication (2FA). - Exportable event logs provide transparency into user activity around sensitive data within an organization vault. Enterprise integrations and deployment - Bitwarden deploys in both cloud-based and on-premises environments, including self-hosted options for full data sovereignty. - Directory Connector and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) integration streamline user and group onboarding with automatic account provisioning and deprovisioning across Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, and LDAP-based directories. - Bitwarden connects to existing tech stacks with single sign-on (SSO), APIs, and CLI automations, and feeds event logs directly into security operations platforms including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Rapid7, and Elastic. Share encrypted information at scale - Use organization collections to share credentials securely. - Vault items are owned by the organization, not individual employees, enabling full credential lifecycle management. - Transmit encrypted information, text, and attachments to anyone via a secure, randomly generated link through Bitwarden Send.

## Bitwarden Reviews
  ### 1. Practical Auto-fill, But Confusing in Some URLs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matheus M. | Analista de conteúdo pleno, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I use Bitwarden to store my passwords and generate new ones. The biggest benefit I found is the autofill feature, as I don't need to fill in the username and password every time I access pages, and with a simple shortcut, the filling is done, which optimizes routines. Additionally, I found the initial setup extremely easy, as it was just a matter of installing the extension and creating the account.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

I have difficulty because some accesses start with the same URL, but with different credentials, and Bitwarden gets confused, filling in with other passwords and I need to keep changing them.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitwarden to store my passwords, generating new ones when necessary. It solves the problem of forgetting credentials and optimizes the generation of secure passwords. The autofill speeds up my daily routines, filling in information with a simple shortcut. The integration with Google Chrome works perfectly, I don't experience any slowdown issues.

  ### 2. Bitwarden: secure and simple to use on all devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camilla A. | sviluppatore, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

What I appreciate most about Bitwarden is that it manages to do everything I need without complicating my life. It is easy to use, works well on all devices, and gives me peace of mind because I know the passwords are safe. I also appreciate the transparency and the fact that it is open source: this inspires more trust in me compared to other password managers. Basically, once set up, it does its job without making me think about it too much.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Autofill, on certain sites or apps, is not always perfect: it happens that it doesn't immediately recognize the fields or that it suggests multiple similar entries and you have to choose. It's not a huge problem, but it is noticeable.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Today, many different accounts are used and almost everyone tends to reuse the same passwords or choose weak ones. Bitwarden eliminates this risk by allowing you to generate long and random passwords and store them all in one secure place.

  ### 3. Secure, practical, and reliable password manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** josinete a. | Suporte de sistemas, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

What I like most about Bitwarden is the combination of security and convenience. The automatic password filling works very well on most websites and applications, which makes the login process much faster and eliminates the need to memorize various credentials.

I also find the synchronization between devices very useful. I can save a password on the computer and access it immediately on the phone, without needing to do any additional configuration. Another positive point is the strong password generator, which facilitates the creation of unique credentials for each service, significantly increasing the security of my accounts.

The interface is simple and organized, allowing you to quickly find passwords through the search. Additionally, the browser extension integrates well into the workflow, saving time by automatically filling out forms and authentications.

A benefit I didn't expect was the peace of mind knowing that all my credentials are centralized in one place, protected by encryption. This has greatly reduced the use of repeated passwords and made managing my accounts much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Although my overall experience with Bitwarden is very positive, there are some points that could be improved. The interface, although functional, seems a bit outdated compared to other password managers, especially in more advanced settings.

The autofill works well most of the time, but occasionally it does not correctly recognize login fields on some sites, requiring the extension to be opened and credentials to be filled in manually. Additionally, when there are several similar credentials saved, quickly identifying the correct one can be a bit laborious.

I also believe that the organization of items could be more flexible, with more advanced options for filters, tags, and sorting. This would make management easier for those who have many passwords stored.

Overall, these are usability details that do not compromise the experience, but would make the tool even more practical and intuitive.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden solves the problem of managing a large number of passwords in a secure and practical way. Before, it was necessary to memorize various credentials or reuse the same password across different services, which increased the risk of security breaches. With Bitwarden, I can use strong and unique passwords for each account without needing to memorize them.

Additionally, synchronization between devices ensures that my credentials are always available, whether on the computer or on the phone. This speeds up access to the systems I use daily and reduces the time spent recovering forgotten passwords.

Another important benefit is the increase in security. Features like the password generator, auto-fill, and encrypted storage make credential management more reliable, allowing me to maintain good security practices without losing practicality in daily life.

  ### 4. Centralized Password Storage, Secure, Access Control and Fast Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica R. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I appreciate being able to store our company information securely, along with my personal information and passwords. I also like that I can adjust access on an item-by-item basis, so only the people who need access are granted it. Everything is stored in a central location and ease of use is beneficial. The support, when I needed it, was very quick and detailed.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Without first reviewing the training materials, it can be a bit confusing to figure out how to grant access and share company information with the users who need it. After going through the training materials, though, I realized I shouldn’t have jumped right in; I would have been better off taking even a brief tutorial first. From there, the performance is excellent, and it all makes sense now!

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer have to access multiple systems to find company information and manage secure passwords; everything is now in one central source. By using Bitwarden, we can work more efficiently, and information won’t be duplicated unnecessarily. The ROI is evident from the start.

  ### 5. Strong Security Without the Complexity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo E. | Product Design Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

Bitwarden helps me manage all my passwords securely without adding complexity to my daily workflow. The autofill feature saves time, password generation encourages better security practices, and synchronization across devices is seamless. Its open-source nature and competitive pricing make it one of the most trustworthy and cost-effective password managers available.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

My main criticism is that the interface feels somewhat dated compared to other password managers. Some settings and sharing features can be difficult for new users to understand, and autofill occasionally requires extra clicks. Despite these drawbacks, the product remains reliable, secure, and offers excellent value.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden helps solve password security and access management challenges. It reduces the risk of password reuse, improves compliance with security best practices, and saves time through password generation and autofill capabilities. For our team, it provides a centralized and secure way to manage credentials, improving both efficiency and security while reducing the likelihood of account-related issues.

  ### 6. Simple, Well-Organized Vault That Streamlines Credential Sharing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moshe Z. | Civil Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

The vault’s simplicity and well-organized layout make it easy to manage project credentials. Having one central place to store both complex access passwords and sensitive API tokens—and letting teammates retrieve them instantly—cuts down on daily coordination and saves our team a significant amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

The browser extension seems to require a fresh login almost every day, which can be a bit tedious when I’m trying to jump straight into work. I completely understand that being logged out every 24 hours is an important security measure to protect company data, but a slightly longer trusted session window would be more convenient.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It removes the risk of fragmented data and insecure communication channels when we need to share sensitive API keys and administrative logins across our engineering team. By centralizing these secrets in a clean, shared repository, we keep our project tools better organized, protect our collaborative workflows, and reduce access delays.

  ### 7. Easy, Secure Team Password Sharing with Straightforward Navigation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paweł S. | Pracownik działu marketingu i sprzedaży, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

It’s an easy way to share and secure passwords with team members using the Collections tool. The navigation panel is customer-friendly and straightforward to use, so finding what I need is simple. Pricing also feels on the lower end compared to the competition.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

I miss having a pop-up tool that immediately suggests a secure password during registration. Right now, I have to go through several clicks to generate one. Also, when I register new accounts, the prompt asking whether Bitwarden should remember the password often doesn’t appear.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden is a tool that helps me share a large number of access credentials with my team at the agency and work with them in real time. As an admin, I only need to update the password on my end, and everyone automatically has the current access.

  ### 8. Smooth and Secure Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin Y. | IT Technical Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

The apps and integration of Bitwarden always feels 'fresh'. Whilst I'm not always a big fan of UI/UX change, the updates to the UI/UX appear to be positive changes and the app never feels sluggish or non-native

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Bitwarden Send still feels a little clunky. You can use Bitwarden Send to send both "text" and "Files", but I would love a policy that sets "one time link sending" as a default.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden is an excellent password manager that has speedy load times, and allows us to share passwords with ease within our organisation. The collections means that we can apply permissions on the folders and provide access to the necessary passwors surfaced by the necessary folders. Other password managers that we have used in the past did not have this functionality. We also use Bitwarden using "Enterprise Login" which is a Azure Single Sign On enabled so that everything is protected and if a user leaves the organisation, we can easily control access.

  ### 9. The easiest software to configure a safe password manager for your team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin P. | Gerente de Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

The best thing, beasides the features, was the easy configuration. We don't have an IT team, so that was a key thing for a fast implementation.
The tutorials are excelent and helps a lot to integrate BitWarden with other softwares, and was very important for teaching our team how to use it.
The support and human quality of Matthew was incredible. Is very important for us have a human and good customer support on our services.
We use BitWarden every day as our "log in" in the company.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

We cannot set up two-factor authentication other than through an authentication app. As of now, it is the only feature we lack from everything we needed. Nevertheless, we understand that it is not a feature offered by other similar services.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Password manager.
- Users manager.
- Onboarding and offboarding.
- Activity of the members of the company.
- Protect sensitive passwords.
- Secure sharing of passwords.

  ### 10. Clean Design, Seamless iOS Autofill, and Helpful Built-In Security Alerts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed N. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

The clean design makes it easy to sort and quickly find specific login details, even when I’m dealing with a massive list of project folders. On mobile, everything syncs smoothly with iOS autofill without dropping the connection, which makes day-to-day use feel seamless. I also appreciate the proactive security alerts about weak keys built right into the free tier, since that adds genuinely practical value.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

It’s a bit frustrating that deeper infrastructure audits and more comprehensive security reporting tools are still locked behind the premium subscription tier. If those vulnerability-tracking logs were available at the base level, it would be much easier to manage long-term data security monitoring and keep everything consistently tracked over time.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaces the risky, cluttered habit of relying on unencrypted spreadsheets—or even memory—to track hundreds of corporate system keys. By allowing us to generate and store high-entropy, unique credentials on the fly, it simplifies platform access while helping ensure our project data stays structurally protected.
