There are other alternatives out there, like tinyurl or rebrandly, that I assume have similar or comparable functionality, but I believe at a lower price point (if not free). **What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bitly is a solid organizational hub for social media and content marketing. It's free level is not too shabby and most of the folks I work with rarely need to upgrade their membership. That being said, the first few upgrade levels are affordable. The platform itself is easy to navigate and extremely fast to use. I shorten a lot of links on my phone due to the nature of my job and it's extremely manageable. **What do you dislike about Bitly?** The organization and grouping system leaves a bit to be desired. I'm paid user and even with the higher level the organization options aren't very robust. The platforms we share to and the analytics on our sites don't always align so Bitly's third data point gives helps us get a better sense of what's going on. The price of the PRO versions could have been lowered. Other than that Bitly is a solid link shortener that has been in the scene for quite some time.
