## Bitly Reviews
 ### 1. On-brand links, more trust from leads, and good performance analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Galyna T. | Lead Generation Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

1.	Bitly is just very easy to use.
2.	Branded short links. Before, we used generic shorteners or HubSpot links, and they looked a bit cheap. With Bitly, we can use lookalike branded domain, which looks way more trustworthy and on-brand.
3.	I like that we can track clicks and see what kind of content gets more engagement. It helps us understand what works better.
4.	If the destination page changes, we can update the link without replacing it everywhere. Love that. That saves time, especially considering the fact that we use same links across a few campaigns.

P.S. Love their marketing newsletter!

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I haven’t really had any negative experience with them. I do realize that I’m probably underusing our subscription, and there are a few more things for us to explore. So maybe just a soft nudge or some kind of educational newsletter series with tips on how to get the most out of the subscription.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We send a lot of different resources to leads so they can better understand what we do, how we do it, and whether we’re a fit for them. That includes Loom demos, case studies, downloadable resources, and similar things.

Before Bitly, we used generic shorteners, and a few leads said those links looked spammy or sketchy. With branded links, we don’t have that problem anymore. They look more trustworthy and more aligned with our brand.

We also get better engagement with links now. People click more, at least in part because branded links feel safer and more legit. And on top of that, Bitly helps us see which resources get the most clicks, so we better understand what content actually helps move leads forward.

 ### 2. Simple and Professional Link Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzanne F. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I use Bitly to shorten links and share them easily with clients and agents on my real estate team. I like how simple it is to use, and I really appreciate how quick and straightforward the initial setup was. We rely on shortened links to share RSVP pages with clients for the client appreciation events we host, and to clean up longer URLs we send often—like Email Subscribe links, our Team Blog page, and more.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I don't like how it requires logging in and maxes the number of links you can shorten. I wish they had an easier free option with ads without capping how many short links you can make.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to shorten links and make sharing easier with my real estate team. It helps us create professional, simple links that are easy to send and track across different channels. We also build a list of custom shortened links for our seller clients so they can clearly see all the ways and platforms where we’re marketing their listing(s).

 ### 3. Fast, Easy URL Shortening for SMS and Chat Links, Pricing is a little confusing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar A. | Operations Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

The de facto standard for URL shortening. It’s quick and easy to create shortened URLs for SMS campaigns and for embedded chat links.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Without any warning, they started inserting ads as a splash/landing page before connecting to the target URL. We don’t mind paying for the service since it’s scalable, but there was no notice, and the ads weren’t Bit.ly-related. To the average user, it looked like a scam or virus-style redirect. We ended up having to upgrade our plan just to avoid a bad user experience.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Branded, shortened links for SMS campaigns, as well as links to knowledge base articles shared in agent chats, without exposing the underlying hosted domains (for example, AWS).

 ### 4. It is easy to use, it helps me a lot with my funnels and to track sales.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos Devis Y. | Youtube Channel Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

It helps me to shorten links and customize them. I like the function of replacing the link without changing the short one. It is very easy to use, offers metrics, and it's easy to find old links. Additionally, the initial setup was very simple, and I have noticed its progress over the years.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Sometimes I don't know if the reports are accurate and I would like to be notified when there are broken links.

And the plan I currently have seems a bit expensive to me, however, it works well for what I use it for.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to shorten and customize links, and the function to replace the link without changing the short one is useful to me. It's easy to use, provides metrics, and makes it easy to find old links, although I would like to have notifications for broken links.

I really like that I could have personalized links.

 ### 5. User-Friendly URL Shortening with Powerful Free Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pily C. | Manager BL Marketing Initiatives, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I really like how easy Bitly is to use. The free version is comprehensive, and as a new user, you don't need to pay for a higher version. For paid users, there's flexibility with the back end of the links and personalization. I also love how user-friendly and straightforward it is for my team, making it easy to implement even for those who aren't tech-savvy.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I think the interface could be a little bit more attractive. It's not necessary, but it takes a little bit of getting used to as a user to know how to use it correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Bitly:**

This is BY FAR the best tool to shorten links I have found out there!

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to turn long URLs into shorter versions and personalize the backend, which helps in content creation and social media posts.

**Official Response from Liliya Elogullari:**

> Hi Pily C., thank you for your positive feedback of Bitly. We are glad you are using Bitly for link customization.

 ### 6. Simple, Convenient Link Tracking with QR Codes and Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shade A. | Keynotes and Professional Development Trainings, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I love that Bitly is simple, convenient, and easy to use. I also appreciate being able to create QR codes and track link analytics so I can see who clicked, how many people engaged, and how my links are performing.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I hate that the links are case sensitive. If you mess up a link, it's a wrap. I usually create all caps or all lowercase links.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly makes it easy for me to share longer links. I don't always have to create custom links.

**Official Response from Social Team:**

> This made our day. Thank you! Knowing exactly who's clicking and how your links are performing is the whole point, so it's great to hear the analytics are delivering real value for you. We'll keep making it even better. 🙌

 ### 7. Well-Established and Recognizable to Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel Eduardo V. | Project manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like that it is already well stablished and its recognizable by the users

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Sometimes user can distrust some masked URLs

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes an URL in the middle of the tweet can disrupt the flow of information, and bitly with just a easy few clicks allows to convert long UTMed URLs into a small address that can fit in any post. There are even some local tools that can be used that allow to make the process faster. We havent used the custome service because despite using the service almost daily we haven't needed to reach for support. It has the features we need visibly available in its UI and implementation is just copying the new URL with the integrated button it shows and pasting in your content

 ### 8. Quick QR Code Creation, No Competition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek M. | Senior Digital Marketing Manager (MarTech & CommTech), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like Bitly for its capability of creating custom QR codes and the speed at which I can create them, along with shortening URLs. It's super effective and fast, letting us generate a custom QR code in a minute, which was a big challenge for us before. Plus, I love the ease of customizing the QR codes with our logo and brand guidelines. It's easy to change any links in the QR code as well. The initial setup was quite easy, and we could start using it within a day. Also, I've been impressed with the improvements Bitly consistently makes.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

there is nothing as such we I don't like

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to swiftly generate custom QR codes, solving our earlier time constraints. It's easy to customize codes to our brand and make quick changes, which accelerates our campaign launches and streamlines link redirection.

 ### 9. Easy to Use, Feature-Rich URL Shortening and QR Codes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott P. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

It’s incredibly easy to use, and the feature set is a perfect fit for our organization. It covers everything we need, from simple URL shortening to QR code generation for our video and printed collateral.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

There isn’t much to dislike about it. For the price point, I think it offers a ton of features. A few things—like limiting the number of times you can edit a URL after the link has been created—can be a bit restrictive, but overall it hasn’t really been a problem for me.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s perfect for our social media tracking and for integrating with other platforms such as Buffer. It also makes generating QR codes for our tradeshows extremely simple, and we can track their usage as well.

 ### 10. Essential Tool for Social Media Analytics and Branding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carmen Eugenia M. | social media manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

It’s incredibly easy to use and very intuitive. We use it daily for our social media campaigns. Having access to analytics is essential, and being able to brand the links with our own domain is a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Some platforms show redirect warnings, which discourages users from clicking the links.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is essential for my work. We use a lot of UTM-coded URLs for our internal tracking, so shortening them is vital to keep our social media posts looking clean and engaging. When dealing with external links, having access to built-in analytics is a game-changer. Plus, the paid version allows us to use our own custom domain. It’s a fundamental tool that we rely on every single day.

 ### 11. Simple Setup, but a Lifetime Access Would Be Ideal

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Webb L. | Assistant Director of Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I have Bitly integrated with Sprout Social for link shortening. It helps protect the character count of my posts and provides a clean look to the content. I like being able to personalize a shortened link for all of our brand posts. The initial setup of Bitly was simple.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I think that links shortened in the platform should not stop working if someone stops using Bitly. For example, if a company uses Bitly for years and then, for whatever reason, decides not to renew with Bitly and allows their service to expire, the years worth of Bitly links that are out in the universe are no longer active. I think companies paid for those links and they should stay active for life.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly protects the character count of my posts and provides a clean look to the content. I also enjoy being able to personalize a shortened link for all of our brand posts.

**Official Response from Bitly Inc.:**

> Hi Webb -

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I wanted to let you know that Bitly Links created do not expire, even if you close your Bitly account.

The only difference is if you have/had a custom domain provided by Bitly as a part of your subscription. Since that is a feature of a paid plan, naturally, we cannot maintain it without a subscription. That being said, bit.ly links will remain functional as long as the destination link is not changed.

 ### 12. Structured Campaign Measurement Beyond Link Shortening

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

What works best about Bitly is its reliability and flexibility when used with structured governance.

It allows clean slug control, consistent tagging, and dependable redirect performance. When UTMs are applied before shortening, it becomes a practical campaign-level measurement layer rather than just a link shortener.

Exports are straightforward, which makes performance reconciliation and reporting manageable without heavy marketing automation tools.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The analytics are useful for high-level click tracking, but reporting depth is somewhat limited. Native dashboards could offer more multi-dimensional filtering and visualization, especially for teams managing structured campaign taxonomies.

Bulk link management and governance controls could also be more robust for organizations operating at scale.

Overall, the tool performs reliably, but more advanced analytics and reporting flexibility would strengthen it significantly.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly solves link governance and campaign-level tracking challenges.

Without a structured link management tool, it becomes difficult to measure performance consistently across email, social distribution, and targeted outreach. By standardizing shortened links with clear naming conventions and embedded UTMs, campaign performance can be tracked cleanly at the distribution level rather than just at the content level.

The benefit is greater clarity in reporting, easier reconciliation of marketing efforts, and improved discipline in link management across channels.

 ### 13. Customizable, Easy, But Could Use Better Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like how seamless Bitly is. I appreciate how many customization options there are, and it's great how easy it is to keep things organized in the platform. It helps a lot when we create a lot of QR codes for different units within our bigger organization. It's nice to have different ways to organized our QR codes since we deal with many different partners, and we can keep those organized by type. Plus, the customization options are awesome because sometimes we use the same link but need multiple QR codes for it. It’s great to have that backlink customization capability and add URL parameters, etc.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I feel like sometimes reporting isn't as seamless as I'd like it to be. For example, we like to segment our QR codes. So I wish there was a way to create a dashboard for very specific QRs (certain tags, certain titles, etc.).

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly allows me to create trackable QR codes, update links easily, and consolidate data in one place. It helps organize and tag projects, making it easier to access specific data. The customization and organization features make it seamless for our various units.

 ### 14. Easy Link Shortening with Helpful Analytics and QR Code Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Very easy to created shortened links. I love the newer options, such as the ability to create QR codes.
The new updates, especially the analytics options to review stats for links that I have shared, are very helpful for planning future content.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wouldn't say that there is anything least helpful about Bitly. Especially since the recent upgrades and expansion of services. There were very appreciated and eye popping.
However there are options that I haven't used, such as Pages, Custom Domains, and SMS, mostly because we already have a website with, urls, pages and custom domains that have been set up for years.
SMS is an option we hope to explore in the future.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run a disability events website. The disability world's language and programs are full of long acronyms and overly excessive and superfluous langage. For us, this is where Bit.ly is a HUGE help.
* Here is an example...one of the events we shared was called "Implementing Best Practices in Accessible Music Education: How to Reach & Teach Every Student, No Matter How they Learn Best" , and this is what the url looks like on our site https://spedchildmass.com/event/implementing-best-practices-in-accessible-music-education-how-to-reach-teach-every-student-no-matter-how-they-learn-best/ . HOWEVER, here is the short link that we created with Bit.ly bit.ly/3ZY4Ylc. YAY!

 ### 15. Streamlined URL Management with Valuable Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip W. | Director of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like that Bitly lets us include a lot of information in a URL without having to show end users a long, bulky link. I also appreciate being able to track link clicks and see how the links are performing.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wish adding multiple domains wasn’t so expensive. It would be great if you could look into options that make it possible to add multiple domains at a lower cost.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to shorten long URLs for SMS. It lets us include a lot of information in a link without sending users an overly long URL, and I also like being able to track when the links are clicked.

 ### 16. Bitly Makes Link Tracking, Redirects, and Custom URLs easy for my company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becky K. | LinkedIn Learning Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like using Bitly to track my links. I use the paid version so I can change the redirects, which is super helpful because I sometimes create one link and reuse it for different events. Sometimes I am surprised how easy it is for me to claim a custom URL, too. I like the analytics and being able to create custom QR codes.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I think the limit on 5 QR codes per pro account is ridiculous. I can create a QR code for free just by right clicking in my browser. Why set a limit on a feature that's easily available elsewhere?

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking click counts and creating vanity URLs

 ### 17. Fast Link Shortening with Customization Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane H.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like Bitly because shortening links is fast and user-friendly. I just paste, hit enter, and it's already copied for me, ready to go. The ease makes the links look more pleasing to the eye in social media posts, removing hesitation for our audience when they see them. Another feature I enjoy is the ability to get a custom domain, which helps make my links look more personalized and allows for more cohesive branding. Though I mainly use it for link shortening, the user experience is fast and works well for my needs.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wish the custom domain was free!

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly makes our links look less intimidating and more pleasing to our audience, removing hesitation to click. I like the fast link shortening and the ability to get a custom domain for cohesive branding.

 ### 18. Very Easy Trackable Links for Clear Social Click Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly W. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

VERY easy to use. I constantly use trackable links for social. It gives me a very clear idea of who is clicking on specific social media posts. One thing I like is that you can easily change the back half of a link to update the specifics.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I don't dislike anything really - it integrates with everything I currently use.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traceability - especially on social. And within our organization.

 ### 19. Effortlessly Shortens URLs with Powerful Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rojan S. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I love Bitly's efficient link shortening capabilities, turning long, cumbersome URLs into sleek, clean links that enhance my social media presence. The powerful analytics feature gives me invaluable insights into how people interact with my links, which is crucial for my marketing strategies. The QR code functionality is a fantastic addition, making it easy to track exactly where and from whom the link interactions occur. Additionally, Bitly is extremely user-friendly and reliable, saving me a lot of time in managing my links. I really appreciate the customizability of the links, making them look professional and easy to remember.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I would like to see improvements in Bitly's advanced analytics. Having detailed analytics available right away would be very beneficial. It would also be nice to have more customizable options for links in the dashboard or even a redesigned dashboard. Additionally, offering some new features or services could further enhance the Bitly experience.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to shorten long links for easier sharing and professional appearance, track interaction through analytics, and get geographic data on link engagement, enhancing my marketing strategy.

 ### 20. Excellent Tool for Tracking and Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I use Bitly for marketing performances and events at a performing arts center. It helps us track clicks and create a better reading experience on social media. I like the user interface and UTM tracking options because we can see how people are interacting with our marketing materials and understand which specific links people are clicking on to view our website. The initial setup was great.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wish there was a better understanding of using tags and leveraging analytics to effectively communicate our successes to senior leadership. It's also a bit unclear how people turning off tracking affects our stats.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to track clicks and improve the reading experience on social media, helping me understand how people interact with our marketing materials and which links drive website visits.

 ### 21. Easy QR Codes and Short Links with Clear, Readable Reports

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles S. | Facebook Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Creating QR codes and short URL links is very easy, and the reports are well structured and straightforward to read. We use it daily, and it is easy to add to our emails and text messages.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Right now, the only challenge I’m having is integrating it with HubSpot, our CRM.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me manage virtual business card information, and it makes it easy to create QR codes and short links all in one platform.

 ### 22. Reliable link management and analytics for multi-channel campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerald A. | Cyber Security Engineer - SOC Analyst 1, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

For us, Bitly is much more than just a link shortener—it’s an essential tool for managing links across email, social media, and print materials. We use a branded short domain, which keeps our links looking clean and consistent with our brand. We also generate unique links for each channel, such as newsletters, LinkedIn, X, partner emails, and QR codes. The analytics are genuinely helpful: I can quickly view click volume, referrers, geographic data, and device breakdowns, making it simple to compare performance across channels. The QR code generator is especially useful for event flyers and slide decks. I also appreciate the ability to redirect a short link if the destination changes, ensuring that nothing already published breaks. Additionally, Bitly integrates smoothly with UTM tagging and Google Analytics, which helps keep our reporting consistent.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The free plan is pretty limited now, and several helpful features (branded domains, deeper analytics) sit behind paid tiers. Bulk editing/management is basic — fine for a handful of URLs, tedious when you’re managing campaigns with lots of variants. Historical data retention could be more generous, and support is minimal on lower plans. None of these are deal-breakers, but they’re worth knowing up front.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly lets us standardize and track campaign links without juggling spreadsheets. A typical workflow: for a webinar launch, we generate separate Bitly links per channel plus a QR code for print; then we watch which source drives the most registrations and shift budget accordingly. Short links keep emails and posts clean, QRs stay scannable (even with long UTM strings), and the redirect feature saves us when a destination changes. Overall, it’s helped us improve CTR, compare channel performance quickly, and keep reporting tidy across the team.

 ### 23. Intuitive Link Management with Stellar QR Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I use Bitly for my nonprofit to shorten links, making them easily accessible and memorable. I really like the QR code feature because it's so easy to create, and I appreciate the great features like adding logos and changing colors to make them stand out. The tracking feature is also valuable, as it allows me to see how our links are being accessed. The initial setup was simple and straightforward, and I found it very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I just wish we had more QR codes each month with the package that we have purchased.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly to shorten links for accessibility and memorability. The QR code feature is easy to create with customizable designs, and the tracking feature allows us to monitor link access effectively.

 ### 24. Easy shortlinking with powerful features!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camille F. | Owner & Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I love how it works across devices, the redirection and customization options it allows for. It helps me categorize my links and have a catalog for marketing, sales, and client support.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Sometimes I have trouble searching for a particular link, as I have over 1000 shortlinks created. Maybe there could be a friendlier way of sorting them? I'd like more keyboard shortcuts and a cleaner interface.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cataloging links to my social media content, providing a more professional-looking solution to share cloud documents or resources to my clients.

That provides information to analyze each of the links that are generated, in this way we can analyze the efficiency of the place where they are displayed.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The number of QR codes that can be generated per month. They are very few in relation to the links that can be generated.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it to measure the performance of online store posts, so we know how many visits we have from organic posts and specifically from which post the visit was made. This allows us to refine our posts.

 ### 28. Short, readable, branded URLs made really easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Having a branded, shortened URL helps ensure trust with our patrons.

It's simple to create a vanity URL to make it easy for patrons to use/remember. And if something changes, it's quite easy to redirect.

The API was easy to use and has let us create a simple utility for everyone on the marketing team to create QR codes which track usage, can be redirected, etc.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

It's nit picky, but with so many shortened urls, the ability to search to find one based on where it's directing people could be a little more helpful.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a branded, shortened URL makes it easy for us to have a short URL, but also be trustworthy for our patrons.

Creating professional, custom QR codes with our logo and color schemes that look appealing is a big plus. I also enjoy the analytics Bitly provides. Bitly is easy to use and delivers an immediate difference.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

None.

 ### 30. Much more than a link shortener! More like I use it!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratik P. | Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Many people just think that Bitly is just a link shortening tool as a simple service to make links shorter. But over time, and as digital strategies have become more sophisticated, I realized that their true potential lies in analytics. For me, that’s the most valuable thing. Every time I create a link, I can see how many people clicked, where they came from and what devices they used. This is key. For example, if I launch an Instagram campaign and use a specific link, I can know if it works better for me than another Facebook campaign. This ability to measure the performance of each link is a radical change to optimize our marketing efforts.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The retention of historical data is a real problem as it has limits according to the plan, but the truth is that for my daily use I never felt like I was missing something really important.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In one recent project, we needed thousands of people around the world to see a PDF survey. Instead of using a long link, I shortened it with a brand domain, created a QR code for printed flyers and shared it on social media. When tracking clicks by city, we realized that the printed QR code was generating much more traffic than we expected. That information was key to making a decision: we printed more flyers for certain areas and redirected part of our digital ad budget towards offline marketing, as we saw it was what really generated value. It was a success because, without losing track, we knew exactly where the users came from and were able to invest where it really mattered.

 ### 31. Fast Short URLs with Great Tracking and App Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura C. | Influencer Marketing and Social Media Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I love being able to easily and quickly create short URLs for our social media campaigns. I also use it to help track influencer performance with assigned short links for each influencer. Lastly, I love how it integrates into Google's Campaign URL Builder and other apps.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I would love to have an unlimited plan but we are on a budget for it.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking the performance of our influencer and social media campaigns.

 ### 32. Easy Vanity URLs and Accurate Click Tracking for Better Social Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

We can create vanity URLs without having to go through our domain server. It also helps us track link clicks more accurately, which improves our social media analytics.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wish we could add additional two-factor authentication methods. We don’t always have access to the device that receives SMS, so I’d prefer an email-based option or a code generator as an alternative.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some social media platforms inflate engagement numbers on their websites by counting link clicks alongside any clicks on photos, profiles, and other elements. Bitly helps us cut through that noisy, misleading data so we can focus only on the link-click data we actually care about.

 ### 33. Fast and Efficient Solution for Automotive Advertising

nothing

Bitly makes it easy for customers to access websites with short links and helps us track which campaigns were used.

**Reviewed by:** Amit S. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Nothing to dislike about it. it's very useful tool.

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I use bitly to shorten links and it’s such a quick and easy process!

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Wish there were more free options per month.

 ### 36. Easy to Use with Tracking & Reporting Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philippe C. | Ebusiness Advisor, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Easy to use, with multiple tools available for tracking and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I suspect that tracking might be wrong sometimes or that it doesn't discard bots clicks. we have different results on our UTM in GA4 vs reporting activites within bitly

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s mainly useful for tracking and getting click data for certain media where we otherwise wouldn’t have that level of intelligence.

 ### 37. Bitly is really easy to use for link tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlyn B. | Senior Social Media Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I find Bitly very easy to use. I appreciate that the platform is very simple and the initial setup was very easy. I particularly like using the UTMs for tracking, and I enjoy being able to create my own custom link names.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wish I could organize my links into different folders so they're easy to organize and find. Sometimes Bitly tells me that I can't use a certain back-half because it's already been used, but it hasn't been used before.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitly for creating short links to track clicks, solving the challenge of tracking social media clicks.

 ### 38. Effortless Link Management with Bitly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like how easy Bitly is to use. It's super fast and helps my team execute their job quickly.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I'm sure there are a lot of things that I could be using Bitly for that I'm not. I guess, getting more information about how I could use Bitly more. Right now, we use it for one thing, but it would be great if Bitly would recommend other things that we could use it for.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly solves shortening links and tracking by adding UTM parameters, allowing us to monitor traffic and the effectiveness of our advertising efforts for clients.

 ### 39. Easy Link Management with Clear Click vs Scan Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Can keep track of when someone clicks vs scans a link. Easy to create and manage all links.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Getting to the analytics. I shouldn't have to click on so many different things to see the data. Plus, that keeps changing. Also, I pay a fair bit and would like to be able to see data further back without paying more.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create a ton of content for clients for both print and online (socials, digital ads, email campaigns). Bitly allows me to keep things clean and organized. Links are readily available and easy to redirect when needed.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Being able to see how many customers click on the link.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

That I am unable to organize my links by the tags without upgrading to an higher level plan. I can only see them in a long list which is time consuming.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can actually see that people are engaging with the links versus putting them out there and wondering.

 ### 41. Easy Short-Links and QR Codes, Seamless Site Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John W. | Web Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

The ease of use for making short-links and QR codes for marketing purposes. Also how easy it is for us to incorporate with multiple sites.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The pricing can be a little high for what you get, there can be some security concerns (like scammers using it for malware/phishing, potential damage to brand trust). Also limited data retention.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of needing to send people complicated long urls for events, we can just make a shortcode or QR code in bitly, and send it to them that way.

 ### 42. Bitly’s Powerful Link Management & Analytics Boosting My Website Traffic Strategy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omkar P. | I am Website Developer, Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

What I like best about Bitly is how effortlessly it combines link shortening, branding, and detailed analytics into one streamlined platform. For my website Techmeomi.online, it’s not just a URL shortener—it’s a central part of my traffic tracking and marketing strategy.

Ease of Use: The interface is intuitive, allowing me to create, customize, and track branded links within seconds. Even with multiple campaigns running, I can quickly navigate between analytics views to check which links are performing best.

Ease of Implementation: Setting up Bitly for my campaigns was seamless. I integrated it with my website and social media workflows without requiring complex configurations, and it started delivering insights instantly.

Customer Support: The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, providing helpful resources when I wanted to explore more advanced features like custom domains and campaign tagging.

Frequency of Use: I use Bitly daily to monitor click activity (e.g., 381+ total engagements in my current report), track device usage, and analyze which channels bring the most traffic to my site.

Number of Features: From real-time engagement tracking to device type analysis and top-performing link reports, Bitly offers exactly what’s needed to make informed marketing decisions.

Ease of Integration: Bitly integrates well with my existing tools, and I can easily pair it with Google Analytics for deeper insights. This smooth integration means I spend less time exporting data and more time optimizing campaigns.

Overall, Bitly has made it simple for me to track, understand, and grow my website’s audience with data-driven decisions—all from one clean, easy-to-use platform.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

While Bitly offers a fantastic service, the free plan is now very limited, which can be a setback for small businesses or individuals who want basic link tracking. Advanced features like branded domains and deeper analytics are locked behind paid plans, making it difficult for early-stage users to explore the platform's full potential.

Moreover, although the core UI is smooth, there are few limitations in bulk editing or importing links. An improved bulk link management system could save time for agencies like ours that manage hundreds of URLs daily.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly has become an essential part of how I manage and track my website traffic for Techmeomi.online. I run multiple marketing and content campaigns across social media, email, and affiliate platforms, and Bitly solves the problem of managing long, unattractive URLs by turning them into short, branded links. This makes my links look more professional and significantly improves click-through rates.

One of the biggest benefits is the real-time analytics. From my dashboard, I can see exactly how many clicks each link is getting, where the traffic is coming from (geographic location), and which platforms are performing best. This data helps me make fast decisions—like doubling down on a campaign that’s performing well or optimizing one that isn’t.

Another major problem Bitly solves is link tracking across multiple channels. Instead of guessing which post or ad drove the most visitors, I create unique Bitly links for each channel and campaign, which makes my reporting highly accurate.

Lastly, Bitly’s integration capabilities mean I can connect it with other tools like Google Analytics and WordPress, ensuring all my link data flows into my broader marketing reports. This saves time and keeps all my metrics consistent.

Thanks to Bitly, I’ve been able to optimize my campaigns, grow targeted traffic to my website, and maintain a professional brand image in every link I share.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

Not aware of a downside. It is part of our daily workflow.

 ### 45. Seamless Link Management, Needs Tier Overhaul

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan C. | Social Media Director

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like the seamless work that Bitly provides and the ability to use it in a very easy way.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The subscription tiers could use some improvement. There's a huge jump in cost from the bottom tier to the next tier, which creates a huge gap. It isn't as beneficial in terms of cost for a workplace. It would be nice to have more ad hoc expenses related to just adding more link shorteners to subscription tiers.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use Bitly as a link shortener and for redirecting links and generating QR codes.

 ### 46. Simple and Reliable Link Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhil J. | Senior Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I really like how easy Bitly is to use. Creating short links takes just a few seconds, and the tracking dashboard makes it simple to see how many clicks each link gets. The ability to customize links is great for branding, and it integrates smoothly with other tools I use. It’s quick, clean, and helps keep my links looking professional.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I wish there were more advanced analytics in the free plan. Sometimes I also find the interface a little basic if I need deeper insights. The pricing for some premium features can feel a bit high for casual users.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly solves the problem of long, messy links that don’t look good in posts or messages. It also gives me useful click data so I can see which links are performing well. This helps me make better decisions for my marketing and communication efforts. It saves me time, keeps my links organized, and improves the way I share content.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucy J. | Growth Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Its easy to use and crfeate links. It is also a great resource for my team to create shortened links.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I think the analytics could use a bit more information and insight.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping my team to create shortened links and track the links we are using.

 ### 49. Efficient Link Tracking, Needs Better Analytics Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan S. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

I like that Bitly is all organized in one spot, making it easier to manage. I also enjoy that we're able to create our own custom URL domains. Another feature I appreciate is the ability to create a bio page with quick links for our social media.

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

I don't like the analytics. It's very hard to organize and sort the Bitly's into different categories. I wish the analytics integrated with other programs.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitly lets me track our links accurately, more efficiently, and shorten them.

 ### 50. Easy to Use with Great UX/UI for Many Use Cases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitly?**

Easy to use, great UX and UI, useful for many cases

**What do you dislike about Bitly?**

The QR limitations on the basic plan are frustrating. I’d also love to see a clear indicator when a destination link is broken, so it’s obvious right away and easier to fix.

**What problems is Bitly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shortening multiple links and using the link-in-bio options is great, and I also like being able to redirect existing links. In addition, Bitly works in cases where other links don’t—for example, WhatsApp links that are prohibited on Meta templates.
