The models are nearly always well-made and functional and are paired with useful information from the manufacturer regarding projects specifications and models. **What do you dislike about BIMobject?** I dislike that the search feature doesn't always do a great job of sorting out what I am searching for. Many times there are a lot of unrelated models that appear in the search results that have to be sorted through. I do wish that BIMobject would start including more interior design models, from FF&E to accessories such as soap dispensers. My firm does a significant amount of healthcare design, and we are always looking for specific equipment models that have to be sourced from sales reps or separate websites, which can be time-consuming. I would love to see BIMobject continue to add to their library of models. **Recommendations to others considering BIMobject:** BIMobject is my first stop when I am looking for a more specific and technical model! **What problems is BIMobject solving and how is that benefiting you?** BIMobject allows me to find accurately modeled BIM objects quickly and feel confident that they are correctly representing the product and intention of my design. The models are typically modeled nicely and accurately, especially when compared to other libraries such as RevitCity. There are often times we need to show a model in a project solely for rendering purposes or for client understanding, and BIMobject helps us save a lot of time by quickly locating an appropriate model. ### 10. We can just put the model number of the fixture or equipment and we can get the exact faimiles by this site . I love that it's free. Also, it's very easy to use. There's thousands of Revit family files on the site as well as AutoCAD drawings and PDF spec sheets for many different products to be used in building design architectural, structural and MEP related items. They now have a desktop app which I use as well as the Revit plug-in. **What do you dislike about BIMobject?** There's nothing I dislike. I like particularly using the 'Filter' option so I get a fast way to get to the producer or category of object I am searching for. Also being able to save objects to your own BIMboard is quite nice. It is something I didn't use in the beginning but have recently started seeing it positive sides. **What do you dislike about BIMobject?** I kind of dislike the BIMobject Mail. I would find it a lot more useful getting whatever kind of messages in my own personal/professional mail that I used to register in BIMobject in the first place. I also find it a bit annoying getting mails of the type 'Thank you for downloading our...' etc. **Recommendations to others considering BIMobject:** I would recommend other users to always use the 'Filter' option and to always, always filter by 'File type'. I have made the mistake at first to not do it, so it has happened a few times to me having been searching for a product some time to find the one I consider 'perfect' and only to find it is available for other softwares but not for the one I needed it to be. Since now almost all the producers that have developed their own BIM library have a connection with BIMobject I find it a lot faster to go to BIMobject, filter by the specific producer and see which of his products are available in a Revit format. The old way was going to the producer's webpage and search there directly but since a lot of producers still don't have all of there products in Revit format, but instead some yes and some only for AutoCAD, it took a lot more time. ### 16. These models can be used for up till LOD 500 (facility management). The variety is great & we find almost all the families used in our project. We have been using BIM object now over 10 years and have been satisfied with the content provided. I like the that each year new content is uploaded for the modelers. I would recommend BIM objects to all industry people who are working on BIM platform. **What do you dislike about BIMobject?** Should also include non manufacturer(generic) families to increase the database. Currently on manufacturer content is being modeled and placed. while this satisfy majority of requirement but at times we cant find few objects and need to search on other portal. Sometimes Rvt format is not available & only CAD is available. You can search from the categories or the search bar to find the object and download it with ease. Instead of creating models our self we can simply download these from BIM object. The quality & the usability of models are great. Only experienced users can do such a fine job. Our design documents start looking professional and neat. All the elevations & layout for Building design start looking good by adding these families due to the detail provided in each family. Moreover different formats are available for the same 3D model for downloading thus the user can work on any software. ### 17. I know that if I grab an object from BIMObject I can trust that there is nothing wrong with what I have pulled down from there and it won't corrupt my project. **What do you dislike about BIMobject?** Unfortunately what I do not like is not something that can terribly be controlled, it just requires patience from me, but I would like to see more manufacturers and suppliers put their stuff on BIMObject and/or develop their catalog to be able to be put on BIMObject. **Recommendations to others considering BIMobject:** Always have this in your back pocket to pull content from as needed. **What problems is BIMobject solving and how is that benefiting you?** This allows us to better make decisions on the design and/or installation of equipment because we are able to source Manufacturer specific equipment. ### 30. It is the platform with the easiest reach within the market allowing you to search in a wide library of different manufacturers and finding in most of the times the product you are looking for or a very similar one, I can also buy the differences between some products and their feasibility according to the project that is being developed. **What do you dislike about BIMobject?** Filters may not be so useful when you are looking for something very specific, it is a tool that can be improved. When you do not get the product it is difficult to let them know that they have this lack in some manufacturers or file types, there is no easy way to collaborate with them and make the platform a network that allows to load more models and have more variety. **Recommendations to others considering BIMobject:** Having already predefined the elements that are going to be used, that way you can get to the manufacturer directly and see if it is available in the library of BIM models. **What problems is BIMobject solving and how is that benefiting you?** To make BIM works the use of this platform is essential, perfect to solve quickly, get the Bim model from the product manufacturer and download it quickly to continue developing the architecture project. ### 31.
